The screen is soooo nice, can't believe the improvement over the 3GS, I couldn't really tell when I was in the shop
Well, I have the bars problem. I also have a bumper and it still does it, albeit to a lesser extent.
With it in my left hand it drops from full signal to 1 or 0 bars without the bumper. 2 with it.
Spawn said:AND WHY THE **** IS THERE NO PROPER PICS OF THE IPHONE4!!!!....geez you fanboi's are falling behind
Will be home soon to try these problems for myselfWill let you all know how it goes
Seriously - is everyone that owns an iPhone a "fanboi" now?![]()
A bit disappointed that cutting down my sim didn't work, gonna have to try and get a micro sim from somewhere as one never arrived in the post.
Actually, if I hold it just right (wrong) then I lose all signal and it says searching. Tried it whilst calling my house phone and made it drop the call.Reception can be a bit up and down in my house but so far I thought I had the signal problem, but then I did once test by holding the phone in the same spot and tried with both hands (moving my hands and not the phone) and it jumped up and down between three and two bars depending on if I had all my hand holding it or just at the sides with my finger tips. Then however, when I covered the whole lot practically with my left hand the signal jumped up to 4 bars which is the best it's ever been so far in my house lol
Yep more or less...i havent quite joined the fanboi club...am waiting to see if these problems with the screen and reception will be rectified or not...
Now stop yapping and start taking some pics you fanboi's![]()
People realise this signal issue is the same on the 3GS right?
Anyone with iOS4 installed on it, try it. Few guys at work just tried it and their signals drop almost instantly when covering the same spot
Yep - I can confirm this - My 3GS also drops... Either no one realised that the 3GS also does it - or it is a software issue... however, I don't understand how it can be software related![]()
I really hope so - I definitely will be a little gutted - seeing as we all paid so much for the beautyAs I said quite a few pages back, I could see it being possible if iOS4 flashed a new radio imagine on the phone (the firmware that controls the antenna, among other things).
Seems quite strange though, I'm sure Apple will identify the problem today and explain what it is.
Just curious mate but when you say "it didn't work", exactly what did the phone do/not do? I'm trying to work out if my micro sim is dead, or if it's just taking a donkey's age to activate.
I cut my sim up using one of the many guides online. It fits into the tray perfectly, but when I turn the phone on it just says "No SIM".
I don't understand why it isn't working when it seems to work for everyone else.![]()
