*** The all new iPhone 4 thread - Keep all iPhone 4 stuff in here ***

I really hope so - I definitely will be a little gutted - seeing as we all paid so much for the beauty :p

I'm happy to wait a week or two and pick one up then when this is resolved :)

Just read this

I just got off the phone with apple support. I was escalated after my refusal to go buy a bumper. The tech submitted the issue to engineering. She said they are getting a lot of calls describing this issue. She recommended buying a bumper. I told her i wasn't willing to do that and would simply return the phone if that was my only option. She asked me to wait until next Monday to see what the engineering response will be. She said that if the answer is the bumper, she would send me a bumper (I assume she meant at no charge).

If Apple are fobbing people off with that as a fix that is absolutely outrageous.

I cut my sim up using one of the many guides online. It fits into the tray perfectly, but when I turn the phone on it just says "No SIM".

I don't understand why it isn't working when it seems to work for everyone else. :(

Make sure to put the sim in upside down, so the back of the sim is facing upwards. I made the same mistake!

Hmmm, ok, my phone gives me the activation message on start-up and when checking the Network section within Settings > General > About it tells me "SIM not provisioned".

It kinda suggests to me my SIM is at least functioning, but I don't understand why I've had the trouble with the O2 SIM Swap site.

Surely this is the correct way?

I picked mine up from Meadowhall this morning was pretty quick. I was in the reserved Q at about 6.30 with about 20 in front door open at 7 I was out with phone at 8. Funny enough i was in before some poor guys at the front of a normal Q who camped out since 10.30...... Apple was taking 8 out of reserve row and 1 out of the first come first serve row to serv us... So the reserve row was moving fast the first come row was very slow

UPS is always the last delivery company where I am... hate waiting in and seeing parcel force, city link etc... all delivering...

it will come Nocky :p

All these stories of queing make me :O , saying that the o2 in town had a massive Q, but the orange one there was no body, I just walked in and that was that, strange, why does no one want orange ? lol, seemed like a reasonable offer to me.

Lol lets hope so :) it must be the same here then as well. I can't remember if I've ever had UPS deliver me anything before. Its usually always been TNT or DPD

I'm probably going to get one on Orange, once they are back in stock and the problems have been sorted out :)
