Yup so if I hit the main phone button I'm taken to the main list of contacts. The most recent are at the top and because of that, they aren't in the remainder of contacts I haven't called that are in alphabetical order below them
 
anyway to tell if ive actually rooted mine? i did what i thought was right and its let me flash my phone on orange with a stock htc rom but marketplace is acting odd...... so if i have rooted i might aswell bite the bullet and flash a custom rom of some sort
 
Currently using Defrost 1.5, seems quite good, the force closing browser issue is sorted at least. The battery lasted about a day, not very impressive. What's this undervolting and flashing new kernels malarky all about? And how do I do it lol!
 
Sometimes when I send a text message, it'll immediately fail, along with the notification noise. A few seconds later it'll retry, and send.

Has anyone else had this? Or is it just Orange being silly? It fails instantly, so it doesn't seem like it's even attempting to transmit at first.
 
Same thing happens here on Orange.

Id say it happens 1 in every 50 texts, never realy thought much about it, but now other people have the same it seems abit strange.

What OS are you using? Im running 2.2 and got it, but also had in on stock 2.1
 
I'm running whatever the phone came with. It doesn't happen THAT often, and it automatically re-sends so it's not too much of a bother. Glad I'm not the only one though! And that it doesn't seem to be OS-dependant
 
Quick question on the desire, was using my friend's desire the other day and noticed that it doesn't seem to have the normal 2.1 zoom screen transition effect, you know when you go back to the homescreen and it zooms into view, on the desire there is no transition effect.

Is this because of sense, was there a setting I was missing or does the desire simply not do this?

Never seen any zoom screen transitions on mine, this is with all animations on in the Display menu.

So I presume it's because of Sense, else I have misunderstood what zoom is :p
 
I've come to notice that there's loads and loads of dust under my screen in one area, near the edge, so I assume the rubber seal thing is broke :(

Has anyone had experience with repairs from HTC or Carphone Warehouse? I dunno who I would be better sending it off to :(
 
Just got mine today, it's not yet connected as I'm porting my number from o2 to Vodafone, which should happen on Wednesday. The deal I've got however features "Unlimited" internet, which is in fact limited to 1Gb by a fair usage clause. Is this a realisticly high limit, or would I find myself butting up against that quite quickly? The phone's manual does warn that it tears through bandwidth like there's no tomorrow, so I'm naturally keen to avoid a big bill. :eek:
