Plug it in and close iTunes. The system should see the iphone as a camera, and you can just drag and drop as per normal.
 
Well i finally managed to get a 16gb delivered today i thought hmm nice then i notice my o2 store had 32gbs in !!! so i dashed into town to be in a nice line of 10 people and only 15 left !! i got mine so the 16gb will be going back Monday :)

If you pay by debit card...the pre-auth the card but the money is held ie it will come out but you dont actually see it come out of your account....reason why i say this is because theres £630 order from apple on my debit card and the my bank have said that the money is being held until they actually take it....so my balance shows -£630 as it is and they take it when the order has shipped.

If its a credit card then the money isnt taken until the order has shipped.
 
interesting, was going past the router and noticed that the wifi symbol was lit indicatng a connection was open.

turns out the phone was still connected even though in standby. is there a way to stop the wifi connection being active even when the phone is in standby ? i'm sure my 3g didn't do this.



update

Managed to crack it seem it was Air Video, i haven't restarted the app since I restarted the phone so i didn't think that could be it. But just to appease me a deleted the app and now the wireless closes down after a few seconds of standby.

So people if your using Air Video which your wireless connection as it doesn't seem to let go.

This was added in iOS 4. The point being the phone can use Wifi for push email etc when in standby as opposed to 3G. (Which should use less power and be faster).
 
You can order the 32GB version from Orange online now for delivery on Tuesday, incase anyone wondered :)

This should mean I'll definitely get mine on Tuesday, will give them a call on Monday to confirm!

I am looking at getting an iphone 4. I currently have a 3g and am 7 months into a 2 year contract. What are my best options?

I am thinking buy the phone on pay as you go and sell my 3g. I'd like to keep my current contract as I only pay £22 per month for loads of minutes, texts and internet (company discount on contract).

How much would I be looking to buy a iPhone 4 on pay as you go and how much should I expect for my 3g?

Are there any other options I should consider?
 
Yeh, I'd say that was your only option. You'd get about £150 for the 3G and the iPhone 4 is £500 on pay as you go. So an outlay of £350. I guess it depends how much you want the 4.
 
I am running iOS4 on my 3GS. I was hoping they would expand the calendar alert functionality. It's very rigid in regards to alert times (max 2 days, birthdays it's good to have a week's notice to post out a card etc.)

I run a Google Calendar to the phone through CalDev and can set the alert times via Google but I mostly access the calender directly on the phone. Any app's mods or methods to further the repeat options?
