*** The Official HTC Desire (Bravo) Thread! ***

Flashed this rom (djdroid) already, just waiting on my network unlock code so I can flash the radio, so far so good.

Edit: Bought unlock code from a popular ebay seller, got it within 30 seconds! Radio flashing ....

Edit 2: Code worked, had to enter it twice, finally have a decent 2.2 rom!

Edit 3: 720p recording definately working and no echo whatsoever with calls.

Just wiped my Desire and started again with Sparta 1.3, as I was having battery issues, and the phoen refused to shut down with 1.2.

Now when I plug it into my computer, the phone shows it's charging, but the disk drive appears. If I try and view it, it tells me I need to insert a disk.

What do I need to do to be able to access the SD card through my computer over USB?

Disable the option to notify when USB is connected then manually choose drive mode from notification tray.

Flash to 1.3 too.

I'm not flashing the new DJ Rom as it has no EXT support which OpenDesire from AdamG does so am awaiting his update.

I'd still flash it and wait for future ext3/4 support, the benefits far outweigh using any other rom at the moment.

Ok, First time using fakeflash, Never had fakeflash as the 'update.zip' lol

Sorted now.

Flashed and testing, ext. doesn't bother me, I don't install that many apps.

I can see me going back to PAYS Sparta though :)

I get that.
I dont use handcent, but i have noticed that it happens when the phone decides to restart itself...

Yep, that happens whenever it turns off and on again, I think it's just some sort of confirmation that handcent is working. I didn't notice it until I had to be turning off my desire for exams, and was wondering why I kept getting a text from anonymous when I turned it back on.

Running Froyo with Sense here fine.

No problems what so ever yet - the HTC Agenda Widget now shows proper colours that I set in Google Calendar :D

What's this radio installation malarky?! I'm ok with rom's and now kernels, but what on earth is the radio and why do I need to update it?

The radio interacts on a low level with the hardware of the device, so there's features that can only be enabled properly by a radio update and not by hacking or changing the ROM.

It uses the same flash method as ROMs and Kernels.
