*** The all new iPhone 4 thread - Keep all iPhone 4 stuff in here ***

Has anyone managed to haggle for discount off the tariffs whilst upgrading? My contract is coming to an end with Vodafone so hoping I can get the 600mins 18months tariff a tad bit cheaper than £35 a month.

mine got connected yesterday, went from a 3GS and even so... wow.

It was slow burn, I started thinking I might have done something a bit extravagant (although I was out of contract the 3GS isn't technically that different) but over today I've really started noticing firstly how great that screen is and how much better built it feels but now I'm really falling in love with the speed, it seems so so much faster than the 3GS. Loving it :)

About time too! You could have had one delivered from Orange several days ago :p

Yeah lol. Maybe they just had a line of orders to clear before me. While I was there this morning there were a couple of other people buying at the same time. Also while I was paying I noticed over the counter that there was a big pile of reservation forms like mine.

Got it all synced and sorted now. No problems so far although it won't be used as my main phone until my number transfers over, probably mid week.

Now to get shopping for some protection since it's still got the factory plastic covers on

Tempted by the Tesco 20 per month tariff 250mins would be plenty for me and you would save around 100 quid from the 35 per month tariff.

Anyone know if you have to port your number if your coming from an current O2 tariff?

Oh dear...the new iphone 4 facetime ads have already started :/

All i can say is it will make you want to throw up:p....or go awwwwww isnt that sweet.

Just saw it on ITV before the WC 3rd place game...

you don't have to but you can if you like! If the question is would it just move over then no, you'll have to do the whole PAC thing.

Yeh shame Apple are like 5 yrs behind that tech and also it only works on WIFI which i find quite silly in all honesty....

Not trying to start an argument, but have you used FaceTime on the iPhone 4? Its in a completely different league to any other mobile device that has video calling. I agree its limited in use because it needs Wifi, but as the Fring app shows, the quality is just awful over 3G.

No i havent as i havent got my iphone4 yet...still a few weeks to wait for it so once i get it then sure ill give it a go no problems. Just find it annoying the way Apple regurgitate old tech like that and make it sound it wow no other device can do this:p

Add to the fact quite a few of the people in the advert are holding it 'wrong' :p

:D

Once you get, I'm sure you'll realise no other device can do it. :D

It's certainly FAR from anything 'amazing' though.

It will barely get used by most people and its a bit buggy some of the time too.

Everyone I've shown it to have been pretty amazed by it so far, they're shocked how easy it works and at the quality. I think if everyone picks it up as a standard like Apple want them to, and once 4G networks are standard I'm sure it'll take off.
