Finally got somewhere regarding the banning of alpha / beta situation and some clarification on further testing.

Unfortunately we cannot provide any information on why your beta account was banned, However you will be glad to hear that this will not effect you on any other betas.

Better than nothing I guess. Technically I should be able to access the PTR now as well, but I can't find out as I decided to cancel my sub for a while.

Ah well, nice to finally get a reply anyway :).
 
It sounds more and more like Colin getting you all invited wasn't really supposed to happen. Count yourselves lucky to have seen Alpha (even though i dont think there was much to see) and hope you get a proper Beta invite!

There always used to have a 150% (or was it 200%) cap on rested XP meaning you could never bank more than a 1.5 levels worth of XP. Could be wrong ofc but dont think you could go from 70 to 80 of rested unless you take breaks every 1.5 levels.

If you level like a normal person (a level per evening), it's recharged enough for your next stint when you log on the following night. The last 3 alts i've levelled from 70 - 80 were rested the entire way :)
 
If you want end game, buy an account, create another account with the same name, and transfer the character over to the account you own and can prove you own.
If the person recalls the account they do so minus the character.

Costs a bit more, but if you hate levelling that much, its the way to do it and ensure you keep the account.

Indeed, there is 100% nothing you can do to be certain of holding on to an account that isn't yours.
 
What is the best questing addon these days? I remember using one back when I last played that showed you the quickest route to do the quests in order of where you are and the exact location of what you needed to do for the quest etc. I don't remember the name of it though. Anyone know what I'm talking about? Or if not, whats the next best questing addon?
 
Ok, so I have paid for a month of game time on my account and I'm now trying to log in but it just keeps saying 'Login server down'. What's up with that?

I created a trial account, and I can login fine on that, but it won't let me login with the account I just paid a month of game time for. I have tried contacting Blizzard support but I just keep getting an automated message 'Sorry, our lines are currently busy, please try again later'. This is ridiculous.

Loving the Beta thus far.

Worgens are a bit odd, like Hunchbacks when walking. /transform is a cool feature.
Also the worgens sound a bit too orcish to me.

Goblins, havent played much yet.

Old continent. I love being able to fly around stormwind! and the rest of the old zones!!
They need to get the costal erosion sorted around stormwind though!!

Glad to see they have finished building the Inn in westfall at long last!! only taken them 5 years. wonder if the bridge in lakeshire has been done? not been over there yet!!
 
yes, although it can go a bit querkey sometimes. It will stop being supported completely in cataclysm unless some other peep takes it on.

wow does have its one quest tracker now though
 
You know the 10 day free trial that you can get for Wrath of the Lich King, can you actually level your character during this free trial? As I have been told that you can't, and I can see why, for obvious reasons, but I was hoping I would be able to level my character to 80 via the free 10 days but it's seeming unlikely now.

Won't let you go past level 71 iirc, might even be past level 70. I know it will build a full bar of xp and then stop on one of these levels.
