*** The Official HTC Desire (Bravo) Thread! ***

i seem to have done something to my phone flashing it to AdamG's Official froyo Sense rom, its bricked my sd cards and now ive got not signal.....

Have you put the new radio on?

Also I had to put my APN settings back in when I went to Adam's Sense ROM

Hmm... on Sense I could keep a number (I had set it to 100 or 200 I think) emails synced with the phone for offline use, but I can't seem to do that on DeFrosts default gmail app. If I have no net connection when I check my emails I only have 4 of them stored, which is pretty useless.

Any ideas on how to change this?

Unrevoked is a great way to root and flash anything that's flashable, a few clicks. It also flashes a permanent recovery (as I mentioned twice previously) so saves much time because you can chrome2phone new ROM updates which will download directly on the phone then reboot into recovery and then nandroid + flash - without even touching a PC or update.zip.

It's using the h264 encoder anyway, 3gp is just the container.

Is there a way off factory restoring the phone? I've tried the "CLEAR STORAGE" option, but that only deletes the user data and settings.

I can't use the voice recognizer with any of my apps, and also the Youtube widget doesn't work.

Small problems I know but still, I shouldn't be having them.

I'm using that standard software btw.

Right ! Cheers.

Looked very blocky for me, I've never tweaked it though.

VLC has issues playing the audio, AMR - Audio Mobile Recording ?

I thought H.264 used MP3 or AAC ?

Going to flash DeFrost 2.1 later and try Unrevoked.

Is the new radio looking good ?

I'm really missing Sparta to be honest, I was just missing 720 camera, In two minds wether to keep going with these FroYo ROM's.

h.264 doesn't require any specific audio encoder. MPC-HC plays it perfectly as does VLC 1.1.

Quality is better than stock Desire (less blocky) - perhaps you've not chosen the "HIGH" mode?

That's what i get with VLC.

No worries, I see your feedback on XDA with the battery, This is why i am going to flash the next ROM, I want battery usage to improve by 25% then i will be happy.

Are you running the newer radio ?

I havent flashed the newest radio i have the first of the leaked ones 32.41.00.32U_5.08.00.04

I had the same problem with the 5.08 and had to put the 5.09 on even though it does say any Radio 5.0X

You'll also need to add your APN settings after to get 3G.

good luck

hmm something definately odd with mine still, when im plugging my usb cable in nothing is happening, the card is there as its been seen in settings and stores pictures
any ideas?

I'm not showing H.264 ?

I was still on VLC - 10.1 Goldeneye Updated ! :D

High light and slightly fast movement looks bad, Better than when i got it stock, Aye !

Sure you flashed the correct ROM then :p

Your filename naming schema is also incorrect for Defrost, the h264 camcorder update saves filenames how they are shown on my screenshot so I think you have not flashed the correct ROM or may need a full wipe then flash of 2.1.
