Also pretty unecessary. We did the whole "travel system" and ended up using it only for a few weeks as they tend to be a bit on the cumbersome side. In the end we used a £20 lightweight folding pushchair much, much more.
Oh I have absolutely no illusion that I would change anyone's mind. Quite a few friends have done the whole "having kids" thing and it goes the same way. Pretty much all of them eventually regretted wasting the cash on an expensive pushchair affair. Just the way of things it seems. You don't really buy the likes of the Quinny for the kid anyway, the only reason to spend that much is image.
that is very true, however you wouldn't want something that would last 5 minutes. i think the main one is do you still get reliability and durability out of £650 for a push chair.
I have a boy due in 4 weeks but unfortunately my missus insists on everything being brand new.
Quinny, does the manufacturer actually know what that word means?![]()
You're thinking of 'Quim' you silly child![]()

did any of your partner get wierd cravings?
Nope.
Haha, told.
Anyway the energy and effort to try and change her mind is not worth it. £650 is for the push chair, Pram carrier thing, Maxi cosi chair seat, base for the ford focus and some other extras.

Baz, can you ask her the rethink about the Quinny pram attachment? It'll just save you money. Basically, when your baby arrives, it'll be in the car seat lying practically flat on the pushchair frame. Then when he/she is older they'll be in the seat that comes with the base when you buy it.
I think, given you get the Maxi-Cosi adapters free any way, you'd be better off not buying the Quinny pram add-on and put that cash towards something else.
