***The Official Forza Motorsport 3 Thread***

Well, completed year 5 last night, now on to the R1 championship, loving it! So much harder on the R1 races, but a hell lot more fun.

Anyone got a lush R1 car lying around?

Certainly is, and the diversity between cars can be such fun, started yesterday with the F-Class enduro and then onto the R3 Porsche 911 GT3-RSR Series, such diversity! :D

What's happened to the summer release of the 'Jalopnik Community Choice Car Pack'? I was hoping to get it before I finished the events list.

EDIT: Cheers I couldn't find anything new about the ETA

I just started playing Forza again recently... started doing Hot Laps and I'm well enjoying it! Using a DC2 ITR at the moment, fully stripped, everything upgraded apart from the engine. Its much more enjoyable now I've discovered this :).

Just started playing online.

Has anyone got a rough guide, on what cars are best for each class? I had them all sorted on F2, as I played online.

But seem to struggle to keep up here :/

Anything AWD has an advantage but the leader board cars are S5, MR2, vipers, celica, LP640, to name but a few however a grid of S5s or LP640's is nothing short of dull, you're better off playing with some people you know, public lobbies are rubbish.

If you want to see some different cars being used try the RWD only hoppers if they're still there.

Can i have some help guys.

I have played the carear with no assists apart from ABS with manual controlls.

No problem at all but now im on the R3 championship and the thing is impossible to drive. I have had to put the Traction control on just to keep up. I feel like im slightly cheating

Any tips?

Use the TC - there's no shame if you are using a control pad. I usually do on anything RWD and 650+bhp.

Other than that try taking the corners in a gear higher than you would usually. Lower revs=less power which means less wheelspin on the way out of the corner.

I have been trying in higher gears but that just about keeps me from not falling miles behind. Think ill just try the TC
