*** The 2010 Gym Rats Thread ***

Jesus this HITT stuff is hard, still I'm up from 6 to 8 sets at 30 all out and a minute rest. I'm so not ready for 30/30 but have increased It to 3 sessions a week 2 on the cross trainer and the other doing hill sprints.

3 weeks till my holiday with missus burtie then I'm having a week off, b/f has dropped :D but I've stopped losing weight, so I've upped the HITT but keeping my cals as they are.
 
Nice back and biceps day today. First 'proper' session in a couple of weeks due to work but now i'm only working weekends so i can get back into it!
Think i dropped half a kilo or so over the time i've not been going but that was expected as working all day on a building site and nights in a pub made it hard to eat as much :p

Deadlifts felt great 8 reps on 60,80,70,50kg. Trashed my biceps, woop :cool:
 
Yeh I've gone from 60 to 85 in 3month or so...

not sure if that is good/bad progress.

Quite happy that since my army selection I did 3 pull ups (heaves) I can now do 10-12. Aiming to be able to get the 20mark in 2month
 
Good day at the gym for me, did 3 sets 110kg deadlifts for 5 and 2 sets 100 today, have more in the tank for next week methinks. Then went for 5 sets 75kg barbell rows and then some poor sets of hammer grip chins.

Does anyone else get pretty strong lower back pump from deadlifts? I can really feel it and I'm pretty sure its not from poor form :S

I'm relatively new to deadlifts, Is it normal for your hamstrings to ache the day after? Or am I doing them wrong?

Yep I get pretty hard DOMs in the hammys after doing big sets of deads
 
Yup. Should be a good bit of training for both of us. You've got the next few weeks to try and up me. Then it's my turn to try the exact same when you're on holiday :D

Got a door way pullup bar and I can't believe I never invested in this earlier.

My 5th set and yeah they were cheat reps :o

 
Well I made it!

Was back night tonight and I hit my goal of a 180kg deadlift! Really chuffed, not the biggest ever but it was the goal set myself 6 months ago when I was pulling 120.

To top it off I pulled 2 reps too :)
