Call of Duty: Black Ops

Seems average. Dont see why they would get rid of uav equivalent at 3 like other CoDs. May change before release.
Looked like a bit of equipment so no different than a throwing knife.
Secondary weapon with what seemed to be 2 ammo. No different than like an rpg or similar.
Will most likely be a hinderance the majority of the time due to taking up screen space.
Who knows. Long range rpg? Wont be much more overpowered than launchers.

Yeah it doesnt seem too different from stuff in MW2 but i think we all agree MW2 isnt perfect? I guess I wanted to see less of this gimicky stuff but eveyone seems to love it!

Think im still bitter about being killed from across the map when someones penknife hit my shoe

Oh come on, I said it was getting less and less realistic. I have been playing CoD since the first one on the PC, only one I didn't play was CoD3, it used to be about shooting better than the other guy now we have remote control cars running around and exploding crossbows. You can pick apart my argument if you like but anyone with half a brain cell knows I wasn't referring to the game being real world realistic, simply that with all these damn killstreaks are getting more and more over the top it takes away from the shooting.

This, its all the kids in here that love this type of gaming and are too young to understand old school shooters

Kill streak irritated me on MW2, it encouraged people to camp when they got some kills in an attempt to not die.

This is why the killstreaks don't build in black ops. To get a 15 killstreak (which is the highest btw) all of the kills have to come from your gun. None of this 7,11,25 killstreak nonsense in MW2....

Is that confirmed?

Don't know if you follow the machinima crowd on youtube but there is a guy called WoodysGamerTag who knows someone that is developing for black ops and mentioned about the killstreaks in May and got them pretty much spot on.

Interesting to hear that he mentioned that juggernaut is back but stopping power is out and that your third perk is chosen for you from the previous two.

One thing that is really annoying me is that they have confirmed that tac inserts are back...

Stopping power is out? lol wtf. Looks like I won't be buying this one then. The MP sounds like it's going to be horrible.

I still cant believe that they are selling for over £40 on pre-release. There doesnt look enough in the game to justiify it being much more than a glorified map pack in my eyes.

All the more fun in slaying and framing those boosters!

Activision are laughing all the way to the bank. They change each cod game every year a little bit, just enough to keep us coming back. We are the addicts and they are the dealers. Its genius tbh. But people are going to get sick of the annual releases sooner or later.

I think sooner rather than later. I have got everyone of the previous games normally on release day but this is definately going to be avioded. Not enough of a jump to justify the cost.

Be interested in hearing what you guys think though when its out.

Despite all this 'CoD blah' discussion, we all know deep down it'll be a good game with high production values and quality gameplay. If they can fix and alleviate the issues MW2 had, I can see it being another big seller (which it will be anyway by virtue of being Call of Duty).

I don't like the franchise whoring nor Activision just like the next guy, but I'll still buy it.

I have nothing against the franchise whoring, it's a business at the end of the day and they are there to make money. But it just doesnt look different enough, I can't see what experience I would get from this game that I wouldnt already get from MW2.

No stopping power and juggernaut is back? Well that will be interesting if it turns out to be true, surely they must put something on to balance out juggernaut.

Don't get me wrong it wouldn't bother me if stopping power was out, but you would need something to counter juggernaut if that is in.
