This is none of your business OP and you seem to have a warped view of whether innocence or guilt has to be proven in your country. I know you mean well but sheesh.

Side note : whatever happened to the guy on these forums who went through a similar thing? The last I remember was the school offered him an 'easy out' for some cash. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

You said that the alleged allegations happened years ago. Depending on their age maybe you could go to their parents, or to them directly. Tell them that he is planning on becoming a primary school teacher. If the allegations are true they would hopefully speak up to make sure it doesn't happen to more young children.

As I said, many many parents took their kids out of the school due to the way it was handled.

I will not be participating in any debate about what I should/shouldn't do now, I will be taking no personal action against the guy, but enquiries will be made by others who know a lot more than I do and have a lot more life experience than me, as said by others I don't know all the facts, I wasn't involved, I was just looking for some advice, which I have got now.

Thank you to the few who offered sensible advise.

You can't say that anyone who disagreed with interfering didn't give sensible advice?

They probably took their kids out due to believing the gossip that was spread around by a few.

One accusation like that and the schools instantly put all resources into it to find out if it's true or not. Just because all the parents didn't get to know all about the process does not mean there was no investigation either.

If there was never any police involvement there is probably a good reason, if there was any evidence at all you bet the police would be all over it.

Don't go dredging up old **** and smear a man who is obviously trying to put the past behind him and start again in the teaching profession.

As per the rest of this thread, school allegations can come from nowhere. It was likely all BS. I'd hazard a guess that every school has a rumour about a teacher at some point.

Many '*****' school girls soon throw allegations around, but when it comes to the crunch of it, and going to court, it all comes out as being nonsense.

Unfortunately for many male teachers/staff, this is too late and their career is already over.

Let this guy try and get his life back on track, its not up to you to play god, stop being an interfering so and so.

As I said I'm not taking any action.

And the "sensible advise" comment was on how people were talking, not what people were saying.

"you should do xxx because of yyy" would be sensible advise, "god you idiot why are you saying this, stop being a ****" would not be sensible advice.
Not on about the content in this case.

As said, I am leaving things alone.

Using facebook can do the case more harm then good. I beleive there has been several cases thrown out due to the use of facebook by nosey civilians.

As for the aligations. All the police need do is follow up the aledged children who claimed it before. Considering they must have been young before If they turned around and said they wern't there would be no legal action against them. But I doubt the police would bother chasing it up.
