Do you drive with the rear wiper on?

I drive with it on if it's raining enough. Back end of the 306 sucks up rain and my blade's crap so I just leave it to it.

If I do it once and it stays clear I'll leave it off but usually anything like proper rain and it won't stay clear.

Mine doesn't work. Along with the demister and high-level brake light.

Pretty sure all three problems are related, but meh.

Depends on the car, in the Rover i might just press it once in a while when in standing traffic or moving really slow as at any speed nothing touches the rear glass anyway, the Capri is exactly the same.

In my dads Volvo 940 estate however i leave it on intermittent wipe as the arse end seems to suck all the crap off the roads and deposit it on the rear glass meaning after 30 seconds you can't see anything.

Heavy rain, trying to reverse park or just plain reverse... might be useful. When I am goinn forwards, I rarely use it unless just to clear then off again.

Some car designs are more prone to drawing in water mist onto the rear screen so having it on slow can sometimes be useful.

Use mine all the time when it rains. The Focus estate is a very messy car when it rains as it throws a lot of spray up. It only has one setting anyway, intermittant wipe.

Occasionally flip it on at low speed, comes on automatically in reverse, stays on in traffic and off at high speed

It totally depends on the conditions and the car, not really sure why it would bother you? I'd rather people used them too much than not enough
