*****ATI 6850 / 6870 NOW IN STOCK AT OCUK!*****

Read above, its only 200-215 here, I have seen 6870 in stock (stock only lasted about an hour) this morning for 175. At 175 for the 6870 the 5850 is practically redundant, although rumour has it that the prices of the 58xx series won't drop much if at all, the stock is expected to be run down by people xfiring their current 58xx.

I agree, just missed the 6870 at that price but might get a 6850 or i wait a bit, I want to see if asus brings out a 6850 with a Voltage Tweak as the Core is at 750MHz

Thats a much better price and more in-line with what I expected for the performance level. :)

I am I missing something with the 6870. Its priced the same as a 5850, performs a smidge faster than a 5850. What is so great about this?

It does have a new AA but from the pics I have seen all it does is blur the image and make it look worst. This makes it another useless AA like Wide Tent and Narrow Tent.
Plus side is that it uses less power and has 3d. However I do think the price is too high @ £200-215. I would have expected this card to sell for around the £160-170 mark considering how close its performance is to the 5850.

It's cheaper (£175), faster, uses less power and has more features.

Seems the cheaper HIS 6850 has gone up in price by £10

Thought we were going to get 6850 at around £130

The 6850 is in direct competition with the GTX 460 1GB in terms of performance, so the £150 selling price is about right so far.

No, needs to be cheaper, if the performance and price are ~equal then punters will go Nvidia, they have a stronger brand (like it or not) and one or 2 minor feature advantages.

Can't wait to see the 6900 cards, hopefully they live up to the hype :) If they flop, well its the green side for me :p

The other place selling them way cheaper (£176.45 and £132.67inc vat and del) has sold out now!

If OCUK were priced competitively I would have bought from here.
