Absolutely unreal, they are certainly desperate to keep her in and it was a bit too obvious last night.
I was certain Weasel was going to go what with her fluffing her words and then practically giving up near the end of her song saying "sod it" and sitting down.

I agree, blatant fix.
 
I don't understand why they are so desperate to keep Katie in, she has been in the bottom 2 3 times now, it is clear that the public don't like her or her singing so even if they somehow fix it so she wins no one will buy her album.

Surely this experience should prove to them that they can't just ram her down our throats and hope we accept?

Its all part of a cunning plan, they want Cher to win it but by keeping in Katie the peoples focus is on her and not on getting Cher out. :)
 
It does make me wonder why they have a sing off to decide at the end. I mean, Katie really crashed and burned badly. I can't imagine anyone doing worse at a deciding sing off. And she got through. What does that say?

It says that although Treyc is a better singer she is dull. Katie gets media attention, therefore the show gets more media attention, therefore the show makes more money.


They should have gone to Cheryl last though, I don't believe in the massive conspiracy theory just Dermot or whoever was whispering in his ear being a bit dim.
 
In the early days of xfactor I actually respected Simon, someone who spoke his mind... so I thought. Now I can't stand him even the slightest.

Here's hoping Cher goes out before Wagner :D just to see his face drop.

I understand this, however, it also says that no matter how well Treyc performed and / or how badly Katie performed, it doesn't matter matter as they chose not to take the performance into account. How could they have made their decision based on the performance as Katie was clearly a car wreck. Therefore the sing off doesn't matter. They'll make their decision based on the good of the show, in terms of ratings and not integrity. Which, I guess, the show lost a looooong time ago :)
 
I'm disappointed. I've had the pleasure of working with (and teaching) Treyc when she was a music student, and she's an extremely hard working, grounded individual. What the judges call a lack of passion is simply Treyc reigning in her emotions and being professional. She doesn't have a 'diva' bone in her body, she just gets on with the job in hand.

With regards to the sing off, I simply couldn't believe what I was seeing. Katie lost it, let her feelings get the better of her and point blank failed. She gave up - she shouldn't be on the show. The sing off is a total waste of time if you're not going to base the 'eviction' on those performances.

Still, the show must go on and all that. I'm sure Treyc will go to better things. :)
 
I know he's terrible but Wagner is the only reason I'm still watching the program. Every week is hilarious when he performs.

Also, **** off Katie. No one likes you, apart from Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh for some inexplicable reason.
 
Tbh if people dont think that this pile of crap is fixed then i think this weekend proves without a doubt that its possibly the most fixed programme on the earth...what an utter shambles of a programme...i dont really watch it but the fiancee does and she was pretty wound up by it all lol...bless her...
 
Thinking about it, it may not have been a fix.
1 of 2 things might be the case:

1 - if a judge refuses to vote then the refused vote goes with the maority - Treyc out
2 - they took cheryls wish to take it to deadlock and treyc had less votes from public - treyc out.

Of course, it could also have been a fix :P
 
The people who don't think it's fixed are the same people who think Wagner is spoiling the show. Came down last night to watch the results (the voting part), missed it all and caught the last part of Trayc sing off performance. Asked who was the other and was told it was Katie. Commented i wonder how they will keep Katie in this time...... She's running out of less marketable contestants to pit herself against though, so they can't save her forever. If she's up against someone like Matt/Rebecca/Cher/One Direction then it will be very interesting.

Wagner won't win it as when it comes down to the crunch the voting (paying) public will outweigh those voting for him for a laugh. But he's the only reason a lot of people watch, all of whom are painfully aware he's so bad at singing it's funny.
Cowell is generally in a win/win situation with Wagner, if by some fluke he does win then the phone voting money plus novelty Christmas number 1 (with girls in mini-skirt Santa/Elves costumes) will rake it in. On the other hand as per contract he'll have to sign Wagner for a 1 album deal released sometime next year? The novelty will have worn off by then.
 
I'm just thankful I have sky+ and can FF most of it. I do like watching the performances but everything else is annoying.

Especially Louis comments which on the whole are exactly the same, for every contestant, each week.
 
I fast forward forward as well - there's waaaay too much filler.

Louis has become a caricature of a caraciture of himself. Although I've never heard him refer to someone as reminding him of a little Lenny Henry in a slightly racist but totally oblivious way. Genius.
 
Cheryl knew Katie and Treyc were in the bottom 2 even before they all came out on the stage before the announcement. Just look at her face. She looked annoyed and gutted.

She knew what she was doing when she refused to vote.

She/they knew Katie would be bottom of the viewers vote. If Treyc was bottom they'd have gone to deadlock.

It was all contrived and really distasteful television.

All 'in my opinion' of course!
