Due to me being scared to root, does this Unrevoked method care if i've upgraded by HBOOT version and updated to 2.2 like the previous methods do?

If Unrevoked doesnt care, I could try 2.2 stock first you see?
 
Running the latest Leedroid now. Seems quite fast. Quadrant benchmark is significantly higher than Tepics rom I was using before.

I read on the Leedroid thread that it's possible to have an optional overclock, does anyone know how?

Yes, install SetCPU, overclock said CPU, job done!

Although I just leave it default, it's fast enough as default :p

Just have a power save profile for screen off and that's that.
 
Khaaan do you happen to have that black android wallpaper in 840x960 res? or at least a res that will be okay for the Desire HD? I think the Desire has the same resolution right?

The only version I have is 640x480 which is too small.

Teppic's is a Android 2.2 ROM, HTC call it 2.10.405.2 :)

I also have a ROM on XDA, based on a newer ROM than Teppics which includes an undervolt and perflock disable. It doesn't have screen state scaling, but that's easy enough to add. :)
 
It's weird, it won't let me set the entire wallpaper as a wallpaper, when I click the 640x480 res version on my phone, I get the stupid green square and it wants me to pick a part of the picture to be the wallpaper.

I'm an idiot, didn't think to tap the edge of the green box..

Yes, that happens on every phone, you know you can resize the green square yes? That's the whole point :p
 
Im still using defrost, huge battery drain with lastest kernels but dropped back to xc and its all good. Any advantage swapping to leedroid or something else?

err more dumb questions time...

1) Desire HD roms - on a Desire non-HD ? Or have I failed to follow

2) HTCsense.com is for Desire Z and HD only isn't it?
 
Im still having a bit of problems updated amonRA from my current version of 1.7 to 2.0.

Ive just S-OFF'd my phone this morning which is now fine but when i use unrevoked 3 and select custom recovery then connect phone it detects desire and starts to push the files reboots a couple of times and then just hangs on this screen, any ideaS?

Since you have S-OFF you could also flash it using ADB in fastboot mode (POWER+BACK button).

Command is:

Code: 
fastboot flash recovery recovery-RA-desire-v2.0.0.img

Be sure the img file is on the root of the tools folder in the Android SDK folder first!
 
I've just got myself one of these, Awesome just don't cover what i think of it so far. :cool:
Is there any reading up i need to do on tips & tricks, I used Crackberry for my Blackberry is there a similar site ?
