And my boss has phoned up asking if I wouldnt mind doing a double shift today and come to work earlier by finding some form of working transport because other people pretty much fancy having a snow day and arent going in.

Yep fine. He works for BMW and gets a car to suit the conditions every time. Nice sunny day - Z4, Snow X3/5, Christmas - Alpina B5 and rest of the year a nice cheap to run 320d. Lucky bugger

Keep getting heavy snow showers lasting for about 5 minutes, then it will go sunny for hours here.
