I think my mother is loosing the plot

It's called "being in a rut". I've been there. The longer you stay in that position the more you lose self confidence and eventually you become apathetic and depressed about your life.

Getting out of this sorry state is not easy. Trust me.
 
And I'd also like to say that OcUK in general has very little tolerance for anyone with a less than perfect life/ job/ social standing.

This forum is one of the most snobbish places you could ever hope to visit. Not that I don't like OcUK, but boy, it's a harsh place.

The first step out of such a horrible mess is buying a second pair of pants.

He's 27 and stropping like a teenager because he doesn't want to move his backside & take his tracksuit bottoms off so that his mother can wash them for him. And he posts on the internet that his mother is at fault.

This thread isn't anywhere near harsh enough in my opinion.

I dont think thats particularly true. The thing people have an issue with here is not that he chooses to live with his Mum, but that he chooses to whine about how unfair it is that she doesnt do his washing in a certain way or something. I mean, seriously?
 
Im 25 and i live at home with my grandparents, and i love it, i know i got it very easy with no chores and paying very little rent at £40 a week. I do work (temp job) so im not a complete lay about:p I have to say that were all very happy. My uncle (44ish) still lives with us (only weekends as he works away and stays in a B&B) and when he retires from that job he will be at home with us all the time. If there was a problem that they needed me to moveout or need to do more things around the house i would.
I see no point moving out for me as i wont be happy living by myself, also on my temp job it would be not affordable.

But do you not aspire to having your own house, eventually a family and decent job? :confused:
 
Living at home or not, the situation here is that everyone has been master trolled.

Fair enough, but the way he's talking about it makes it seem like he'd happily stay there as long as he could.

Fair enough, nothing wrong with several generations of family living together, I would buy more pants however, the ones you have will eventually gain a life of their own and walk off and then where will you be....pantless is where.
