This may just be the best screenshot I have ever seen.

I fast travelled to Gypsum Train Yard, and found myself surrounded by a massive group of Blind Deathclaws. Luckily Boone managed to distract them whilst I ran up one of those Quarry Chutes. After I sniped the lot of them, I counted 11 of the buggers

I just completed the game 100% platinium trophy :) and i have enjoyed it a lot even with the glitches and lockups  i had 3 different characters to complete it , i know i could have done it in 1 playthrough with saves but i wanted to create 3 different characters with different skill sets .

I got Fallout new vegas sat on my shelf at home i want to play it so bad but fallout3 was ruined for me with the bugs and i loved that game i just dont want it to happen with vegas as it looks epic. I have heard that they are going to relese a patch to fix the bugs end of this month so will just have to play dragon age origins ultimate edition till then and assassins creed brotherhood on the 19th lol

Urgh, just completed on hardcore mode (never switched it off) but no trophy pop, ah well can't be bothered to go through all of that again just for a gold trophy.

First DLC announced on the 18th. "Dead Money" due for release on 21st December on the 360. Whoop :)

On October 18, 2010 Bethesda Softworks announced that DLC will be available for New Vegas, in keeping with its predecessor Fallout 3. The first, named Dead Money, involves working alongside other wastelanders to find the treasure of the Sierra Madre Casino and adds new terrain, enemies and decisions for the player.[28] It is due to be released on December 21, 2010, exclusively for the Xbox 360.

It looks as though a second BoS chapter will be involved in the story line. In the unpatched version of the game, the Abandonded BoS Bunker contains posters regarding Sierra Madre, and graffiti reading 'Gone to Sierra Madre'. The bunker was locked, with no key available in the 1.01 patch...

Annoyingly, I'm playing on PS3, so won't get this for a while.... I'm about to start my 3rd playthrough over the next day or two methinks, Melee and Survival as Tag skills, then for my final run (Mr House questline I think), I'll wait for the patch... :D

edit - As an aside, I started reading Chris Avellone's Fallout Bible last night. Basically, it's a load of background material collected together in one document, that stopped being updated in 2002. I was very pleased to see that it had been referred to heavily in the creation of FO3 (which I regard as non-canon).

Awe, would have been perfect to play on the days I got off for christmas!

Have to just wait until it's released for PS3 then. Any idea how long it could take before that would happen? I got no clue about stuff like that.

Just finished this a bit ago. Absolutely epic game imo, and definately up there (if not better) than Fallout 3. Gonna play through again but take different sides this time :D

Mate bought me this on 360 for sorting out his PC today, main rig is not at the flat right now so the PC version wouldn't have been much use. Glad I didn't buy it upon release, down to £20 in the supermarkets, good times. :)

Is it worth getting a net connection to the 360 to download game patches/updates for this? The obvious answer is "yes" but it's a hassle...

Never completed Fallout3, did really enjoy it though.

Just got this for £20 brand new. For my first playthrough should I have hardcore mode on or off?

Start with it on if you don't like it you can turn it off at anytime, just be aware that doing so will void the achievement. I didn't find it to hard with Hardcore mode on just more of a pain when you get crippled endlessly.

"And fixes for the following quests:" and then there is a long list of a majority of the quests :p

Nice fixes though :) I think that the companions showing up on the map is one of the best ones as they seem to be what most people struggle with.

I've just started to play this guys and I haven't played Fallout 2 much so sorry is this questions seems dumb. But how do I go about leveling lockpicking and my other skills? Had a read through the manual and I can't see anything.

Cheers

EDIT - I just leveled up and noticed you can assign points. Is this the only way to level things up then?

You can get books for a permament increase or magazines for a temporary boost.
