Who here owns a Renaultsport?

Blowers on mine decided to stop working today! :(

Might be a fuse or the resistor pack. I can hear the replay/motor click and whine on and off as it should but just nout coming out of the vents. CC display works fine as do other electrics, right pain -5 on the way to work could barely hold the steering wheel.

Edit/Update:

Resistor pack replaced @ £125 from Renault. Can fix it with a £2 part from ****** if you've got skills with a soldering iron and some time. A few threads over on CS. Shall have a stab at mending the old one.

I just remembered someone from here asked for the RSTuner files I had for my 182 and I never sent them. Whoever it was, do you still want them?

I had the EXACT same thing. Mine was £120 from local Renault, and I fitted it myself. My blowers were stuck on full though when it broke.

Squirrel I think that was Mr. Tommo

in which case no he remapped his car and mine and is now selling his RSTuner :p

I wanted to report back on the remap but havent had much chance to play with it due to the bad weather.
It is definitely better.
Pulls hard through the rev range now instead of just 5k, although 5k you can still tell is peak power. 7500RPM rev limiter is nice also. (not used it often but I found on occasion 7200 was just that bit too low)

I have notice higfher fuel consumption although I havent decided whether that is down to a heavier right foot due to having more grunt lower down.

A quick question for those that have recently remapped their 182's with the latest .cal, how long did it take for your cruise control to sort itself out and come back.

16" on 182. ph1 172 had 15"s I think.

If I went from 195/45/16 to 195/50/15 there would be 0.7mph difference at 30mph which is nothing. I think it'd look better as my Clio is pretty low.

Just got 4 new Vredestein Ultrac on my 182, its running lower springs and shock and the monkey fitted 50's some serious rubbing going on. Too late so I have to go back tomorrow to get some lower profile ones on. It was on 45 before and they were sound, what would 40s be like?

Tempted to get some 15" Turini's or 15" OZ F1's for my 182. Do many people put 15" wheels on 182's?

A lot of people who spend a lot of time on track tend to run 15s for various reasons, including cheaper tyres :p

I'd stick to Turinis as don't like F1s on the phase 2 looking cars.

Im looking for some 15" wheels.

New job means getting the train to work so my 172 can become a toy. 15" wheels mean 50% less cost for tyres. Looking for anything cheap really, so likely F1's.

I'm hoping for a couple of trouble free months of motoring now - since I got my 182 (6 months ago) I've spent:

* £750 Insurance
* 235 Tax
* £70 AA Cover
* £400 servicing (+rear exhaust mounts, +lower steering arm)
* £430 K-Tec Ultra exhaust cat back system (silenced centre section)
* £740 Cambelt Kit, Aux Belt Kit, VVT Pulley (dephaser) + waterpump and coolant change.
* £120 lambda sensor.
* £50 on a set of Renault Sport mats
* God knows what on petrol. lol :)

The car is running nicely though.

I use to spend £800 a month on gearboxes and drive shafts :D

Count yourself lucky.

Speedline 2118s look quite nice too. :)

The ones above are 15" IIRC.

Geesh 750quid to insure a 182 how old are you 19?, 400quid for a service? Owch.

You know they are group 31? Quite high on the insurance table!! £750 is good for a known boyracer type car!!!!

£400 would be for a major service, just like any car its quite expensive.
