It might be best just getting yourself a cheap runaround first and then get a 172/182/'sporty' car when you finish uni

That's not half bad considering 0 NCB. Same as you with 4NCB and cheapest I managed to end up paying was £1200ish with Adrian Flux.
 
How much should I be paying for a 172 that's on 03 with 43k on the clock but needs the belts doing. Going to look at one tonight it's up at 3k and is an old mates ex car.

Been an age since i've been on the market

Considering decent 182s with the belts done are going for not much over £4k. I would say thats about right if a little over priced.
 
I should also mention it's monaco blue I know where the cars been so feel good about it 2.5-2.6 seems fair im going to have to get my barter xp up.
 
Scrap that back to the drawing board just found out it's Cat C recorded in 2008 but passed VIC Check in 2010. Think i'm best leaving it then :/
 
Just remapped Dogsbody's Clio 172 phase 1 with my RS Tuner so I'm finished with it now.

Will be sticking it on ebay in the next couple of days. How much are they goin for on cliosport?

'Lumpy idle'. it seems they all do it. an RS Tuner remap usually sorts it, but its nothing unusual.

Im moving in January for a new job that will hopefully mean I take the train to work so the 172 is probably going to be sold :(

Annoyingly the price seems to have continued to drop rapidly for these :(
 
So really, Renault released an ecu with a **** map?:D

Not convinced though, I reckon there's more to it, vacuum leak maybe - it jumps too much to be a common issue.

Sold mine for £75inc for a very quick sale, no doubt £85 is achievable if you wait a bit :)
