These vaults are well thought out and well constructed, it would be a great shame to abandon this, rather it would be nicer to complete them. The reason for the extra floors of vaults below was to have another set in advance as the server popularity was growing and vaults would soon run out.

tl;dr

Lag due to mobs in dark inaccessible vault areas, not the vaults themselves.

Do the vaults use redstone for the pressure plates? If so maybe too much restone in such a small area?

ok, bottom 3 vaults were cleared of mobs and the entire bottom section and gaps has been filled with stone.

Spawn is vastly improved, think any remaining lag is the protection mod in the remaining vault layer.

Is anyone up for getting the bank sorted out? While the vault system is great I think it would be awesome to have an actual building above. Plus it would be great to get another massive community project like the train station. Doesn't take long when you get a load of people together. Reckon we did the station in 3/4 hours max.

Is there anyway we can get a closeup top-down output of the spawn area? THink it would be really helpful for planning community builds and stopping any problems like the ones that happened over the last few days.

I'm also really for a large map that people can mark their territory on and is easily accessible. Is there anyway, as mentioned in the other thread, of using the GoogleMaps API to do this?

Also, well done Windle for taking over the responsibility of admin and thanks garsands for the great job you've done.

Mainly the thought was because the main mc thread here gets clogged up with lots of stuff and you end up with pages of stuff to trawl through. Seperate forum would mean seperate posts. But it may well be overkill

try and see it from my perspective, i spent a lot of time just planning the spawn let alone the time i spent putting it in to place along with the help of a few others, twice i've had the time i put in wasted by people who have a disregard for what other people have spent there time doing. i think i share tefals pain somewhat, both of us had grand ideas and marked of the space to do them, others have disrespected this (despite how spacious the world is) to build whatever the heck they want right where we asked them not to.

Sorry for blowing my top off, I appreciate all the work you have put into spawn.

At the same time I think you were the only person who seemed to know what you wanted at spawn, because I asked everyone on the server at the time and everyone said it was fine to build in the community build areas.

In any case I had all the intentions of building only to benefit the community and would have happily removed it myself if anyone took a disliking to it.

Just got me very mad that after spending a whole day getting the materials for it and then another day building it you destroyed it in one night.

Give me a little heads up next time
