I 2nd Yaris T Sport.
Yes, just what a girl buying her first car needs - the Sport model. A far better suggestion than a conventional Yaris. Those extra tyre, fuel and insurance bills will be well worth it.

Not just low mileage as a sole factor, but cheap price. Please fox, now that you have finished criticizing, please provide us with your amazing suggestion.

Those tests were performed when the car was new, do you think the Polo will react identically after fourteen years? Both cars are as 'dangerous' as each other, getting an ancient car doesn't help things.
German built lasts. Probably the fiesta's airbag would fail to inflate![]()
Thanks for proving my above point. I'd rather trust a 9 year old airbag over a 14 year old one but I suspect both would inflate and you are just being silly now.

Yes, I am. But the roof of the fiesta. Come on. It's almost scrunched up! Lets hope that there are no back seat passengers
Perceived reliability? Proof is in the pud really. People know they're reliable because they've experienced their reliability.
EDIT: If you do go for a yaris, at least go for the 1.3, the 1.0 will bore her to death.
[TW]Fox;18149978 said:Whilst the benefit of your wealth of experience is huge, I doubt a girl buying her first car is going to be 'bored' any less by a 1.3. It's a car, it looks cute and goes from A to B and puts shopping in the boot.
I don't know, depends how she is like. She might be a little into her cars?
Anyone 'into' cars isn't going to be excited by a Harris unless it has a big turbo bolted to it and does 0-60 faster than a Veyron.
Wanna give me 1500 and I'll go stick that 14 year old Polo through a wall and see how good it comes out the other side. Reliability is not a 14 year old Polo nor is a 14 year old anything the pinnacle of reliability.
She'll just be happy to be driving, never mind what car she is driving.
I don't even have a car, let alone £1500 to buy one!![]()
Oh well that explains it then, here's me thinking you had a wealth of 6n Polo knowledge ready to put me in my place but you don't own a car. Damn.
