January Transfer Window 2010/2011 Season Rumours/Signings

Busquets to Man Utd (some kind of discord during negotiating the extension of his contract)

Its a rumour - but most likely completely blown out of all proportion and probably less than 0.1% likely to happen (unfortunately)

Arguably the best player of that mould in the world, he's like Carrick but 2000 times better. Cannot see him leaving Barca, would be stupid on both their parts. It's becoming ridiculously typical recently, player plays for club happily for several years, no speculation whatsoever, contract talks come up, oh, magically player is linked with 4 or 5 clubs, 1 week later they sign a new 4 year contract. I hate football agents.

Seems that Fulham are set to sign SWP on loan (with City paying some wages) according to quite a few rumours. Also still trying to sign Robbie Keane but because Spurs will only sell, we're not prepared to match the £7m asking price.

I personally wouldn't mind SWP at Fulham, I laugh at the fact when he plays for the bigger teams, but he'd suit us. We lack pace, and nowadays normally pass/cut in instead of pinging in crosses, so having some extra pace would be awesome.

Sidwell, Keane and SWP for a January window would be awesome.

Haven't heard about the busquets rumor but don't think he would be good in the prem. He goes down a lot and takes the odd dive. I also wonder how good barca players who have come up the ranks, would do, playing a different style and system of play.

They'd do well at Fulham I think :)

I agree SWP / Keane aren't good enough for a club dreaming of winning things.

Bridge to West Ham on loan is sounding quite done, picking up all his wage bill too.

Either Gold and Sulliva are going to go the same way as the Icelandic lot that were in before or we're going to stay up and the high wage bill will be justified. I'll flip the coin...

Although I should be jumping around to be honest, we've finally got a (half) decent left back. We haven't had one for about 4 years.

I like SWP a lot. He could do really well for you. He certainly runs his little heart out all game and can make some great moves. Really hope he flourishes and shows you guys the promise and ability he showed us when coming through the ranks :)

Could be a bit of a firesale at City this January. Hopefully RSC and Ade can find good homes, maybe Jo too.

We're still being linked with RSC, but his wages are far too high (same with SWP), our max wage is £50k, and thats only with one player, so anyone who joins will have to take quite a wage cut.

Bridge going to West Ham with basically full wages is laughable.

Pienaar has agreed terms with Spurs apparently, on a £70k/week contract. Our highest earner atm isn't on much more then £60k/week.

But, we may wait till the Summer to land him on a free.

I hope not. We need an attacking midfielder and possibly a winger (Young) but then Valencia is back soon.

A striker wouldn't go amiss either.

Beckham AND Pienaar? And Harry's sounding out Phil Neville. Sounds like you're trying to trump Arsenal in the "who has the most midfielders" stakes.

I hoped Mancini had a bid for Piennar as hes a good player and if SWP etc go were going to be weak in terms of attacking mids/wingers. Although i think Moyes would try and charge 30m or something :(
