Torres appeared at the end of the 90s?

I've heard of Jay Spearing. Are you saying he's as good as Gerrard and Torres? :confused:

Been hearing whispers of these. Although I doubt the Arsenal move, as he's playing well and is young and would cost a fortune, would be nice to see Arsenal splash the cash but it's not the Wenger way. He has a lot going for him, immensely talented, can play anywhere across the attacking midfield (played this season out wide) and has come through the French youth.

Real (or the Special one) is after another forward, a big strong old fashioned forward (or so I've heard) but really? An 17/18 year old wonder kid? Putting that much pressure on him?

Rudd VN might be going back to Real I've heard as well, but Real refuse to pay a transfer fee :p

I dont think that Spearing will make it to be honest, I think that his size works against him in the modern game. I could see him being a decent championship player but I just cant see him making a major impact at the top level.

No he wouldn't have. He's got a terrible attitude; got rich too quick and lost his hunger and all interest in football. If he put 50% of the effort he does into twitter and rapping, into his football then maybe he'd have made something of himself.

He won't. He's the next Danny Murphy; physically too small and although he's decent enough technically, he's not good enough to make up for his size. He'll make a career for himself but it won't be at Liverpool.

Kelly's the 1 who's already breaking into the first team that has a big future and a young Spanish lad coming through the academy now that's going to be a superstar.

Assuming the spanish one is Suso, how do you think Pacheco will do? I'm sure kenny will give him a chance.
Also would you play Kelly at CB or RB, hard to decide since his natural Pos is CB but hes soo good at RB.

hope not, he's doing well again though if the price is right then i wouldn't be too bothered if he went. our midfield is crowded atm and we are still awaiting huddlestone who can do a similar job.

Yea, I did mean Suso. Pacheco's a very talented player, my only concern with him is he's a bit lightweight. We'll only ever find out if he's up to it is when he's given a real chance and as yet, he only had few cameo appearances under Rafa and was played out of position in his few cameo's under Hodgson.

Now we've gone back to playing 4-2-3-1, there's less of an issue with him playing in 1 of the wider positions so hopefully he'll have more opportunities in the first team with 3 positions up for grabs than just 1.

As for Kelly, with the form of Skrtel and Soto, I see no reason why Kelly hasn't been playing CB for a few weeks now.

Darren Bent is a very very good signing for the Villa - £18m is a massive price, but for a PROVEN Premier League goalscorer at the age of 26, it represents a good investment.

We're struggling in the League, we're NOT in Europe, we're 99% likely NOT to be in Europe next season, so who on Earth do you think we're going to sign? Bent cost Spurs £16.5m some 4 or so years ago, and last season scored 24 goals in the top flight for a mid-table side.

He's not a great footballer, but no-one can argue with his goalscoring record. If he was a hairband wearing spaniard with a similar goalscoring record in La Liga and good Championship Manager or FIFA 11 ratings, no doubt he would be eulogised on here.

Personally, I'm delighted with the business we've done so far (Makoun also signed), and it's evidence Randy Lerner has the funds to back his Manager. A great two fingers up at windbag O'Neill who consistently moaned we didn't back him, but after wasting £10m on Curtis Davies, £8m on Reo-Coker, £5m on Sidwell.....would anyone?.......

I know who your on about, - he looks quality. I really hope we can nuture hm properly and give him the opportunities that Pacheco & others seem to have missed.

A few on the city forums claim to have seen a twitter post saying cant wait to play with Dzeko in the Champions League next year :eek:
Would love to sign him though, watch a few games in the Belgian league now after being there on a few school trips. He has gone a bit off the boil this year but that's probably more to do with the fact with all the pressure of scouts in the stadium watching you. Comeon Mancini get the deal done and please pay them to take Jo also.
