January Transfer Window 2010/2011 Season Rumours/Signings

Is it just me that pretty much every time I see Fuller play he looks angry, disinterested, like he's seconds away from punching his team mates(when of course its not seconds after he's punched a team mate) looks like he hates the team he's in and the club he's at?

As for Welbeck, from birth till his first goal a decent way into the season, he looked rubbish as a footballer, he seems improved but, is that a lucky goal and a little temporary form, maybe he just needed a run of games and a little bit of confidence and will improve quickly.

Considering Bent played most games and was the top scorer I think its a touch optimistic to suggest Sunderland only need cover till Welbeck is fit because Bent Gyan and Welbeck played together in a LOT of games. So they are still missing a player essentially even if Welbeck was fit.

They need another striker(someone better than Fuller though), then they'll need someone else if Welbeck isn't for sale/doesn't go to Sunderland.

Nah, was asking this a few days ago and nothing. JET's gone to Cardiff but that's about it. Wenger himself has come out (lol) and said the defender search isn't going well.

Ramsey joining JET at Cardiff for a month or so it sounds like then finishing up the season at Arsenal, Vela probably to go somewhere on loan though I get the impression he'd prefer to go to Spain than the constantly rumoured Bolton.

Cheapo CB maybe but as Squillaci is supposed to be back this weekend, Djourou/Kos fit(for now) and Vermaelen should have a 6 week recovery, 2 weeks to training then 4 weeks till he's ready to play supposedly it would be an expensive option to sign someone. Unless he's thinking about selling Djourou, Squillaci or Kos on at the end of the season.

Diouf to West Ham is the rumour at the moment, apparently the morons in charge after trying to ruin their own team and having previously signed every pointless/unfit/angry striker around last Jan want to go for someone even more hateful this time around.

I'll give up wanting West Ham to stay up if they sign Diouf, though I'm starting to think they'll sign Diouf then fire Grant and get Warnock in before the end of the season, about the only last utterly stupid thing they have left to do now.

Bent, Carew, Fuller transfers cancel out

Darren Bent, John Carew and Ricardo Fuller will all stay put in this transfer window after their moves were found to have cancelled out.

Adequate striker Bent agreed a £24m switch from Sunderland to Aston Villa while adequate striker John Carew moved from Villa to Stoke, causing adequate striker Ricardo Fuller to join Sunderland.

But the FA’s Pointless Transfers Committee have stepped in and pulled the plug on the paper trail, pointing out that nobody benefits from the switches.

“We just ran a simple analysis of the players and clubs involved and it became pretty obvious that the three transfers would make nobody weaker or stronger,” an FA spokesman told Back of the Net.

“A simple bit of long division revealed that everything cancelled out with only a negligible remainder.”

Stoke have reacted most angrily having believed that lumbering giant Carew would be the man to kickstart a new era of total football at the Britannia Stadium.

The FA are yet to comment on rumours that the lingering remainder from the attempted transfers is as significant as a third of a striker but there are unconfirmed reports that David Bellion emerged from a fax machine at FA Headquarters early this morning

A trifle harsh on Bent, but otherwise ace.

Strong rumours of Fulham signing Kakuta on loan from Chelsea, he's a prospect but is he ready for first team football yet? :/ Ancelotti isn't saying yes to the loan yet, though.

He is ready for PL starts, but not for Chelsea yet, no offence meant.
Although I'd prefer to see him ahead of Malouda, Kalou, Drogba & Anelka at the moment.

Blackpool reject £4m bid from Liverpool for Charlie Adam, according to SSN.

Not sure what to think of this tbh. He's no world beater by any stretch of the imagination but he looks a more than handy player, and with it looking like we're playing more of an orthodox 4-3-3, another CM wouldn't go amiss.

The rejection is probably down to Holloway reckoning he's worth £bn's and Blackpool holding out for as much as they can get.
If you'd offered £4m on the last day of the window you'd get him so you probably will for £4.5-5m.
He's no worse than a couple of your regulars anyway.

I see the sum total of Fergies dealings looks to be just condeming us to another year of Ryan Giggs.

I might be selling Ferguson short, he might sign another striker that he can send straight out on loan or sit on the bench again.
Or a Goalkeeper that never plays, or a midfielder that nobody ever sees.
