Hold on a minute. You constantly knock Crouch for his International record yet he's scored against a similar level of team and at a similar rate as Eduardo who you claimed was World Class a few years ago based on his International record.
How can two players score a similar amount of goals against a similar level of team and be judged so differently?

Crouch can't head the ball for **** in any situation save the entire back line having ponytails, but ironically enough the human daddy longlegs is handy enough with the ball at his feet. Go figure.

Whilst I love Pav, he offers little in the way of linking up with the midfield. He'll occasionally nick a goal, and certainly has better shooting technique then Crouch, but he finds it hard to play the passing game and more often than not, falls over when trying to hold the ball up. I rate Pav and Crouch equally.
But of course, a gooner will be around in a minute to tell me that I'm wrong based on the 2 or 3 Spurs games they've watched.

Ajax have given liverpool until Saturday to sign Suarez. I think we ought to try an 18-19 million offer. Still not what they want, but might be close enough to make them shift on it. We have money in from babel and potentially 6million from jovanovic too, so we have had some in to counter the out.

Oh! I didn't know we had gone that high, thought the highest we had gone was still 15million euros. Well if they don't take 18.5m then I say forget it and look elsewhere.

For what it's worth, I don't buy these stories that we're so far apart in valuation. After spending over a week negotiating with Ajax, why would Comolli travel to Amsterdam for further talks if a deal wasn't a lot closer? It's a waste of time for both parties.
I'd hazzard that our offer is quite a bit closer to what Ajax are asking and this talk of ~£13m is simply what we're offering up front with the rest in add-ons etc.
Regardless of what Ajax say, I wouldn't be surprised if this goes all the way down to deadline day.

Honestly the most baffling decision I have seen for some time. Mourhino rarely makes them.
However if all they need is a tap in gay then he's probably the best available atm. Adebayor works best when others do all the work for him if that makes any sense.
It's very annoying he's been given a chance to go there though considering how much of a **** he is.
