How much better is this than a 5870 not really up to date on cards at the mo.
Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.
You do realise theyre built on different architectures? Therefore you cant simply compare numbers and come up with an accurate comparison of performance, you may as well try and compare AMD and NVidia numbers

I just lol at Gurus charts, check the below review out, a 1000 core 560 can't match a stock 480.
lol they are same, not based on different architectures at all, it's a re-spin.
AMD cards are on a different architecture ;p
GF110 is a mix of old and new. To call it a brand-new design would be disingenuous, but to call it a fixed GF100 would be equally shortsighted. GF110 does have a lot in common with GF100, but as we’ll see when we get in to the design of GF110 it is its own GPU.
An 850watt PSU should be fine for SLI GTX 480'sI guess a 850W Corsair wouldn't be enough. I will just get a 650W Corsair instead to save some money and buy another single card solution in the future.![]()

(As long you don't have loads of harddrives/DVD-rom drives/water pumps/etc as well)
520W CoolerMaster Modular... Will it work with this?
1GB could hold the 560 back with AA and demanding games.
You might get away with it but a 600w is what you really need.
I'd just use your hopefully backed up original BIOS and unlock the shaders only, or sell it back to complete stock. This way you won't have someone trying to send it back to you as much. Make things more complicated and it will only complicate your sale. Also everything may be fine now but as the memory timings are different between the 6950 and 6970 BIOS I'd just keep the 6950 memory timings and just unlock the shaders as this makes the card just as fast as the 6970 without the possibility of stressing the RAM past to what it was specified to do.
With the 120Hz monitor you're all set and ready to go. Good luck with your choice.![]()
Sold already on ebay for £220I offered it as 6950 unlocked to 6970 but also offered to flash it back to 6950 bios if requested and it sold with in 1hour. Time to preorder this GTX 480

Replace the 1 with an x in the link.
