If it is more than 227kb then it has been modified.

I don't have any AV software on right now so nothing would have picked it up. The version from that thread is 607KB.

I didn't download that one, I downloaded the one at the top of this page which is 92k.

This is just annoying now. I haven't heard any official response regarding the new client not being able to connect.

Sucks the only work around is to mess with files, never known MC to be so unstable as of late.

It works fine and is totally legit.

Avira doesn't like it for some reason, apparently. It's the only AV that reacts to it.

I've had problems with a legit minecraft .dll file using avg b4 - checked up on the forums and it was fine. Just add an exception.
