Whilst it was an encticing battle between the two, in no way did he 'rip him a new one', it was back and fourth and Kelly did well against him.

No conspiracy about this, FA are just a bunch of numpties.

I dont doubt anything, I agree it was dangerous and I wouldn't have complained if he was sent off.

All I'm saying is that you cant know for sure that he was trying to knock him out with an elbow, it could have been a very reckless error.

I know thats the best possible way to look at it, but there you go :p
 
Why isn't SAF critical of Hernandez signalling game over at Wigan? Surely that is disrespectful to Martinez and the LMA?
 
Anyone that think's Rooney's elbow wasn't deliberate is either blind or via biased.

I could perhaps believe it wasn't, if it was a jump for the ball or in the middle of a crowded box.

But with no other player around Rooney and McCarthy for miles, plus with his past record, then this decision by the FA is a complete and utter farce.

Well done for setting a good example FA...

So you don't feel it complies with the rules? Or you think the rules have been bent? Do you think maybe someone wants united to have every advantage in the title race? Or could there be something else?

Because you're talking like this has never happened before. Gerrard has got away with the EXACT same thing TWICE before the FA set the precedent then. Is it correct? No but because of how they handled the Gerrard incidents they could never do anything to Rooney

FYI the Gerrard/Welbeck incident wasn't even spoken about by the FA nor highlighted on MOTD so just further proof that when it's United everyone wants their voice to be heard - just a consequence of being the most successful Club in the country but that doesn't make it right

HAHA knew someone would bring that up. To be fair when Rafa did it it was very early in the game Hernandez did it with about 30 minutes left of the game

I said, my only thoughts are that it's impossible for a trained ref to look at that and say there was no ban worthy offence committed. Arguably the most blatent ban all season, don't think I'm exaggerating either, although I can't remember every incident obviously

I was just talking about the Rooney incident as it happened a few days ago. If I was bringing up a previous, similar incident I'd talk about Ben Thatcher as he also didn't get sent off at the time.

Yes Gerrard deserved a total of a 6 game ban, One on Brown, one on Welbeck.

Brown one is arguable, Brown puts his arm up first and is trying to obstruct Stevie, Welbeck is a stone wall red and 3 game ban. FA are stupid.

And Yeah, except Rafa did it on a completely different subject, Hernandez wasn't, doesn't really matter the time, Wigan still had plenty of time to score 3, only took 6 minutes in Istanbul :P, had it been our players against him or Rafa at that time in the match he would still cry.

Sorry to be an arse if i'm picking up on you forgetting to add two letters, but you mean that anyone who thinks Rooney's elbow wasn't deliberate?

Very true and in the close season the FA should bring in a new rule whereas players can be punished for these offences without needing to refer to the ref in charge

This however has rightly not been put into practice as soon as it involves a united player like they have previously
