**SPOILERS** Football 26th Feb - 2nd Mar 2011

Haha again proving my point everyone takes notice of united and doesn't care less when it's anyone else....

That was also this season just FYI

Yeah, Rooney's was just as bad, I'd call it worse as Rooney wasn't going for the ball at all, just to elbow somebody in the head. He was also sprinting at the man adding that extra force, and jumped into his head for no reason.

Gerrard's was clumsy, and reckless, maybe he meant it too, but he was going for a header, not tearing across the pitch and chucking elbows around for no reason at all.

I ain't blind or biased.

Sorry to be an arse if i'm picking up on you forgetting to add two letters, but you mean that anyone who thinks Rooney's elbow wasn't deliberate?

Post mind ****ed me.

Here's how it should have read :p

Dam mobile phone!

Anyone that think's Rooney's elbow wasn't deliberate is either blind or via biased.

I could perhaps believe Rooney just made a mistake if it was a jump for the ball or a tussle for possession the middle of a crowded box.

But with no other player around Rooney and McCarthy for miles, plus with his past record, then this decision by the FA is a complete and utter farce.

Well done for setting a good example FA...

Did you actually see the Rooney incident? It was clear as day that the Wigan player was trying to block his run, he was hardly innocent in the whole thing

As for Gerrard, you're wrong he had no intention of heading the ball he just went it to do Welbeck

Evra is a hard man that knows how to make a foul look worse than it is. It's all part of the gamesmanship of football and while they can get away with it, they will. Much like those thugs Gerrard and Rooney.

You all make it sound like Rooney just ran over and hit him, watch the replay and thats obviously not the case. Rooney is looking at the ball, he's running towards the ball, McCarthy is looks at Rooney then runs towards him to block him off with his arm. Rooney reacts badly and uses his forearm, which is inexcusable, and he was very lucky to stay on the pitch, but lets have some perspective eh?

Not calling it a conspiracy but this isn't incompetence, it can't be. I have to believe something else at play, can't accept that the ref has watched that video a few times and thought 'nope, nothing wrong there. That challenge is fine.'

That would be about right if the FA wasn't so inconsistent towards MU in the first place, fact of the matter is there is no conspiracy, just a complete lack of consistency from the FA.

Oh the irony that coming from an Arsenal fan

Exactly, not once did he look over at McCarthy, he tried to run past him and was ****ed off about being blocked, swung an elbow and caught him.

Blocking off happens say 50 times a game, flying elbows happen never. Because they're awful. When talking about perspective maybe you should consider the severity of the two incidents

No ones disputing that, you however said Rooney wasn't going for the ball which was clearly incorrect

Yes Rooney was wrong, yes he should be punished for it but it's not like he just went over and ******* him :p

Yeah, an Arsenal fan would go to the DW Stadium watching Wigan vs Manchester United

I said its inexcusable, I said he was lucky not to be sent off, but people (including you) talk as if Rooney ran over just to deliberately elbow him in the head, and thats just not true.
