Over the years I have tried many different shaker bottles, most of them are crap. Seems like such a simple thing to pull off. Sometimes they would leave chunks, or some left over at the bottom (dried), others would spill out the sides etc.
Well PROBLEM SOLVED :D
BlenderBottle - seriously if you haven't got one, get one. So simple and easy to use and cost all of $4-5 or so. Has worked perfectly every time. It's the simple things that impress me :p
Welcome to 2 years ago :p

Enjoyed using my dipping belt tonight. Was quite tricky loading up 45kg of plates then getting up on the dipping station but well worth it. Chest and triceps pumped to buggery.

Lean grilled bacon before bed yes or no? Some of It does look a bit fatty but I can soon cut that off, not bad though for 32p a pack :D

I will deduct ALL of your man points if you cut the fat from all of that delicious bacon!

Fat's supposed to be the primary fuel during sleep anyway, so I wouldn't worry unless you eat the lot tonight. If you do then you can have all your points back:p.

its usually not the bottle, its the product and the way you prepare it.

if your using water, then its much easier to get rid of lumps even in problem protein powders which clump a lot.

i have found that the best way to do it is, fill half way with milk, add half a scoop, and shake, then add another half a scoop and some milk, and shake again, repeat until its full or you have put required amount of scoops in.

this way, you dont get dry bits, or lumps. it does take twice as long, but if the lumps and dry bits bother you a lot, then its the only way to get rid.

or use a big smoothie blender machine.

Well if it's like 90% of the people in the gym then it will be probably doing half a rep instead of going low. See so many people increasing the weight and as they do their form gets worse.

Worked my way up to 12stone5 about 2 weeks ago. Then didn't check the scales for about 5 days... then i was 12stone8 according to the scales (digital). Have remained at 12stone8 for the past 12 or so days, weighing every 2 days first thing in the morning.. until today. I weighed in at 12stone5. what the hell happened?

Probably the scales - did you weigh yourself on the same spot? I moved my scales around and got a different reading at various places.

In my case I bloody well hope it's the scales.

According to them I lost 2 kg the past few weeks

I'm trying to gain weight here!

.....hmm, then again it could have to do with me doing far more volume, less breaks in sets and more cardio....

MOAR FOOD!

weighing every 2 days

That's far too frequent to be measuring weight gain. Bare in mind how long it takes to put on 10-12 of muscle (about a year if everythings spot on). So 5.5 KG increase over a year if you're spot on with diet, training and recovery. Expecting to progress 1/5th of this in less than 1/5th of the time scale is unrealistic.

You weight will flucate depending on lots of different factors. Weigh in weekly and don't stress youself over fluctations in your weight. Bare in mind you may well be dropping bodyfat which would account for no apparent gain in weight and could disguise muscle gain on the scales.

Stressing yourself (and subsequently your body) is not an ideal state for you to be in to gain muscle.

So damn true, all of it.

Natural lean gaining is nice, but takes time. I remember getting stuck at 63kg a year and a half ago.
Thought I was making no progress, looked in the mirror and realised I lost a lot of fat and gained strength and muscle mass.

Also the note on stress is 100% true, the past moth has been horrible for me.
Lab reports all rushed due to lecturers forgetting about our Final exams.

Stress really messes you up, I was constantly tired and felt weaker and had no real energy.

Move on a week after and I'm brimming with power!
I've not had DOM's like this in nearly 6 months! I LOVE IT!

I'm up from about 11stone8 in january, but by no means lean :( definitely gained a few lbs in fat.. but when i see the scale drop 3 lbs and my body just looks flabbier and smaller.. alarm bells go off. Had a sesh today.. weak, bugger all mind-muscle connection throughout it all so had issues getting burns/pumps and generally activating the right muscles.. and my weights had dropped significantly.

Maybe it is stress.. maybe it's my interrupted sleep (thanks a lot jack3d).. or maybe it's time to change up the routine? hmm

Change routine a bit.

jack3d does not affect my sleep at all.

Then again I've only been using it since this Monday. I've actually been sleeping a lot better. Probably due to having done all my final exams.

You can also do what I do, no carbs after a certain point in the afternoon/evening.

I eat tonnes of mixed veg with my food, it's hard as hell to get down and fills up the stomach very well. :)

Dinner is the last meal in my day that has carbs, and that's tapered considerably from earlier portions in the day. I tend to keep my vegetables to brocolli and have half a head for lunch, and the other half for dinner.

Annoying that jack3d messes with my sleep :/ have cut it out before and sleep returns to normal, but whenever i take it, i will wake up after 4-5hours of sleep and feel agitated/restless for half an hour.. then go back sleep. i wake up absolutely knackered. might be time to find a pre-workout without 1,3d and maybe caffeine too. might end up concocting my own!

As for routine, i've been following an on/off routine for a while now. Chest+calves/Legs/shoulders/Back+traps. I might start switching this up to something GST/HST related.
