***** The Crysis 2 Thread *****

I've got an ATI HD5770 now to replace the 8800GT (Need to update sig)... hopefully that will be enough to play at reasonable settings?

Runs it great for me. Playing on the medium level settings I think and its flawlessly smooth and still looks awesome :)

I have my 5850 OC @ 900/1100 1.1v so would like to think id get a good solid 40fps with that on high settings....well i hope

shouldn't have much of a problem. i've got a 5850 at stock atm. (had to remove oc, as the original crysis hates oc's for soem reason)
maxed out the demo (except aa) with an average of around 40-50 on 1920x1080

What exactly is the DRM used on Crysis 2? I can't seem to find any solid info about it.

I read that it has a 5 install limit with no way of revoking an install. Meaning if I reinstall Windows a few times and upgrade my hardware a couple of times then I'll have to buy the game again in order to continue playing it? That can't be true, can it? If true then it makes the DRM used on AC Brotherhood which requires online authorization each time you start the game, seem relaxed.

OK I've just had it confirmed that the DRM is Solidshield which has a 5 activation limit, there's a de-activation tool named "Activation.exe" included though.

Not ideal but happy enough a de-activation tool is included.

I have a cd-key but I can't activate the game until 11pm tonight, that sucks :(

Unfortunately I cannot find a working russian proxy to use with proxifier to activate it.

Won't be a full priced purchase for me, three graphical option only, no AA settings and DX9 scream fail and lazy port to me, the game has low quality textures as seen in the leaked version and demo, the linear gameplay is the finale nail in the coffin for me.

Instead of making a extremely brilliant game for PC, then culling effect and textures etc to the point where it can run on Xbox 360/PS3, they make a game for Xbox 360/PS3, and rely on the engine to make it look better for PC.

I paid for the original Crysis and was quite happy to do so, but I'm not paying for a game that has been crippled just because consoles wouldn't be able to run it otherwise, and I think a lot of people feel the same way.

Mostly true raven but this is they for pc games these days it seems. The lack of custom graphics has annoyed me a lot but im still getting it

Looks better than the first if you ask me. That had a pretty dull single player and I don't care what you say about the graphical options, still looks better than pretty much everything on PC. Derp.
