***** The Crysis 2 Thread *****

For those who say this isn't a port - you are ******* retarded. "Press Start to begin" on the demo? Not a port? Really? I mean, ******* really? Get a grip

Technically it's not a port - it's a multiplatform game. However it's clear the consoles, and especially the 360 are the focus, not the PC.

It'd be a port if the console versions had released first, then PC development had been started.

It's amazing how bad a first impression they gave with the 'Press Start' message though. For lack of a simple text change they caused themselves a lot of grief.

agreed, but how can we prove that he did pirate it?

well he wouldn't have the advanced option unless his auto updater don't work or he pirated the game as patch 1.1 removed the advanced options and replaced them with high, very high and extreme

so which is it dutch guy :D

just cancelled my pre-order(joke) for Crysis after all I've read on here will wait and see if the game gets patched and DX11. i dont buy a DX11 graphics card and then buy new games that are DX9. My pre-order hadn't even been dispatched!

Unless he has been using the mod tool before he even run the game, I know I did for a while because I already knew about issues from the US playerbase.

It uses the game exe not the launcher, this avoids autopatching.

Oh, I have lots of games, just wasn't expecting Crysis 2 to be DX9. Bummer.:(

I cannot fathom why people are throwing their dummies out of the pram about something as quite simply pointless as 'lack of Direct X 11 support', gotta be the most pointless reason ever for cancelling something, the game looks good, runs good and it has a much more thought out plot and what not than the original game, who gives a **** if it runs with Direct X 9 instead of 11, its just a number...
