***** The Crysis 2 Thread *****

I'm running extreme and everything maxed @1920x1200 with the latest version of that prog. runs at about 50fps on my 820MHz 470, starting to get toasty though at 80C.

Everything maxed, 100fps at 1920x1200, 35fps at 6000x1200.

The game is really well optimized for PC, and looks great imo. Hmm, I would have thought you could put everything on High beh, looking at your specs.

I only get 45-60fps after setting to High and enabling both lots of AA with that tool thing.

Only got 1 card in atm, but still, thought i'd be doing better than that.

got everything maxed on a 5850. but i'm only playing at 720 because my monitor's gone. :(
Just had a good game on the TFU server. very stable

same here mate im running at 1600x900 and got my 5850 running at 810/1100 getting about 45fps could push my card further. Have not tried it since installing the 1st patch but had the "hardcore" graphics pre patch whatever that relates to from low, medium or high

Seems AMD delayed 11.3 cats, to fix Crysis 2 flicker...

I knew it would be down to drivers and not the game, yet people bash the game for it. How can it be responsible for multi GPU rendering issues. As usual it's AMD's **** drivers.

Maybe with these the HDMI driver will actually install, or the display driver will install on the first try. But i doubt it.

one of those people who complained endlessly about how the first game was terrible as soon as you were forced to stop chasing helpless Koreans through the jungle I suppose? or one of the ones who complained that Crysis had no real story, and was just another generic FPS?

Oh dear. Sense oh humour failure much?

I love both Crysis and Warhead, and didn't even mind the floaty alien bit, so no, not one that complained about that.

As for the story in Crysis and Warhead, it may have been simple, but was at least easy to follow, and I had no complaints on that front.

Get a grip and stop acting like everyones calling you child ugly or something

:p:p:p

Running at very high 2560x1440 with an old mobility 5850 radeon card (1075/750). Get 25-30fps but I think the game looks really nice. I loved the first two games too, but after FarCry, Crysis and Warhead, I was ready for some City action. Seems to me that the optimization of the game is fantastic.

Dont really understand the hate to be honest. Perhaps a DX11 patch will make the hardcore gamers happy.

Happens with sli systems as well. And nvidia had far more access to the game during development than amd.

has the patch been released today? im stuck at work and dont have access to much

no will be released later in the week, check the mycrysis forum for all update news, look for guys called cry tom and cry adam they post all official news.

on a side note crytek_tiago on his twitter post siad he had 16ms to play with pc hardware, a lot of us have come to the conclusion he means 16milliseconds

the whole engine works in milliseconds and apparently has 16ms spare to add extras within the target framerate that won't affect performance, sun shading iirc takes around 2-3 milliseconds but would make the city environment look infinately better. Another example it takes the 360 1ms to calculate water geometry but only takes the pc 0.3ms thats why they have so much spare power left on the engine after EA forced a deadline on them.

Wow some rather big claims here! I'm not sure how people play at less than 50fps??? Strife, when you say everything maxed is that including AA etc? Also, what is your min FPS?

I cannot fathom why people are throwing their dummies out of the pram about something as quite simply pointless as 'lack of Direct X 11 support', gotta be the most pointless reason ever for cancelling something, the game looks good, runs good and it has a much more thought out plot and what not than the original game, who gives a **** if it runs with Direct X 9 instead of 11, its just a number...

Ok Gashman in answer to your rant above, I have not thrown my dummy out of the pram, I have reasoned, having read this thread and one or two others that I do not want to purchase Crysis 2 right now and prefer to wait until it is patched and updated so that I get as good an experience as I can for my money and excuse me for expecting some DX11 goodness having bought a DX11 graphics card ffs regardless of the widely varying opinions all over the internet. You are of course entitled to your opinion.:D
