I am surprised they have made no official response to the DX11 thing.

The very fact that they havent points out to me that Crysis 2 will not get a DX11 patch.

Given the fact that high end PC's are not able to run the multiplayer at constant 70FPS then how is more eye candy going to improve the overall expereience. If you look at Strife's screenshot, his min frames are only around 60-70 and thats with 2 X OCed 480's. I think DX11 (assuming it will run slower than DX9) would be the death of this game. I don't know about you mate but any less than 60FPS and I can't play MP.
 
Download the gfx config utility & use that for setting your options.

I wouldnt wait. No idea how far off it is or even if it will even make much of a difference visually. Baring in mind that the visuals are already pretty great (cant think of another better looking game recently).

It depends how good you are at shooters, a competent shooter who just wants to run and gun then you will get through it in about 4-5 hours. If you like stealth and tactics then it will take much longer. The mini arena sections that you come across frequently to make your way through also allow for a lot of replayablility in order to try different methods and toy with the npc's.
 
i don't see the point of waiting for dx11, as it looks great anyway.
I was just saying that it seemed wierd to me that the game does not support it, as it was supposed to follow in the first games footsteps as an 'amazing graphical showcase' if you like.
i'm getting 60fps in MP, with v-sync on, but at a low resolution

Not that it will ruin my enjoyment of the game in any way:)

I guess there is that, you could drop the resolution in order to up the IQ. I think the makers of this game have learnt from the first 2 in the series, i.e., that even with today's hardware they still scale like a dog. I think what they have produced is a good looking game that works for the bulk of their market - who came blame them really?

couldnt agree more - so nice that PC shooters now = dumbed down console crap for the masses. If dice sell out with B3 then may aswell throw the towl in (not that they will of course....... ;):p )

Well yeah I would like that too, but I was also pretty excited about DX11 and it looking like the sequal it's meant to be. The hackers do p**s me off tho, I had a nice kill streak going the other day when someone shot a wall with a scar and my whole team dropped dead all at once, Seems pointless playing. I havn't played it online since by the way...

Aye dx11 would have been nice to see. See what they could do with it with their engine. Still no official word though so it could go either way. Would be a bit iffy to not try and appease the haters. the hackign is plain ridiculous, find that clan named serves tend to be better (although it could just be blind luck that it works out that way). the TFU server had some good games the other day but its been empty the last few times ive tried for it. When a game is fair then its brilliant but tards have to ruin a game to make up for their tiny penis'.

lol thats one way to put it.

I found that the last server I was on with a hacker someone complained in all chat and the hacker was booted, but still. That still left 14 points on the other team and we lost by 13. I wasn't happy
 
Just noticed I had acquired the Drunk & Disorderly tag in multiplayer :

" Finishing in the bottom 3 of 3 consecutive rounds after 11.30pm at night "

Go me :)
