You're right. I relished the freedom for a while and jumped in head first. I had fun but it's probably time to stop messing around before someone gets hurt.

I've become quite happy with not having to answer to anyone since my last split. I'm terrified of having to compromise again!
I don't think could date anyone who wasn't musical in some way either, as it's unlikely that they'd understand my need to spend lots of time on my own with the piano.

This. I've got too used to it in fact, at the same time though, I miss having someone ask me who my day was (can't remember the last time anyone asked me that) or gave me a hug cos I needed one. Plus I sure as hell miss a regular supply of sex. I can't have it both ways, and should probably get back out there, its just the thought of wading through all the crap again.

I was. He broke up with me about 5 months ago. To be honest its the worst break up to date. Mainly because during the relationship he wasnt a jerk so I had no need to hate him like the others. Although I was still angry with him for how he went about things. We are still friends though.
Maybe I will get a bit more confidence back and then perhaps register
It's frustrating having to go through the whole process again and probably end up meeting yet another messed up person. People say you have to kiss a lot of frogs before you find your prince. Well I'm fed up of kissing frogs!!!

On the other hand you could meet someone who's nice and isn't messed up, it's whether you think the risk is worth taking. Though I'm one to talk, I've been single for god knows how long
