***Official Rift Planes of Telara Thread***

im sure the mounts are like 2 platinum and so many gold.

lvl 10 is allso great for people leveling alts.

again like any other mmo boring as hell :D

I was kinda expecting an answer from someone who has an interest in it, which you clearly don't. I do, I raided in WoW for 4 years so I for one do not find it boring.

Actually just watched a few vids showcasing the rift/raids available and they look pretty cool.

To me, the questing and dungeons are on a par with WoW, but I haven't got to top level yet to sample raiding.

Well, decided to shell out for the full game, level 17 now and have just realised I'm doing Freemarch backwards, I went from Knights Stand to Denegar's Stand and did the Smith's Haven/Iron Fortress quests, only slightly annoying in that I keep getting quests to go backwards to quest hubs I've already completed.

Also got myself a mount, they were 2.5 plat, think I must have been looking at something else, got myself a horse instead to those weird ones you get in Meridian. Now I want one of those mechanical ones,

Almost finished all of the Tier 2 dungeons. My group finished charmers Caldera last night after wiping on the final boss about 15 times :p . It really does not help that her graphics are bugged but we did it in the end. Im really liking Tier 2, You've REALLY got to get the strat perfect for most bosses or you will wipe very easily.

The last dungeon we have to do is DeepStrike Mines. We've had a few goes at Plutonus but didn't have the time to get the strat right. Gonna try him again tonight. The one thing that has disappointed me is some of the drops. The end bosses drop very nice stuff but all we seem to get is Blue items off the others which aren't upgrades from the tier 1 stuff!

We're farming a few of the Tier 2 dungeons now including Runic Decent. Can get them done in about an hour now. Just need to find a decent guild for raiding!

Overall though im really liking the game. Just hope they add some more group content soon or We'll be running out of stuff to do.

Save for the level 50, 40p? for the level 40 mount is not worth it.

Plutonus is easy, stay inside the big circle, move your back to the wall when it comes up, move away from the centre of the wall after you get knocked back because the beams will hurt. I main healed him as a chloro and a cleric melee off healer.

He drops a sick cloth/chain chest. So get farming!

Thanks for the tips :)

Yeh the fight does look pretty easy. We figured out that you need to keep him in the middle of the circle after a few tries as his knockback will push you off the walls if hes at an angle.

Do you know if the walls have a pattern to them? only half seem to come up at one time and I found myself having to run sideways towards a wall sometimes. would be nice to be parrallel to a wall when they come up.

man i got this game from day 1 but now feel a bit bored of it already? dont feel the urge to fire it up anymore and instead play PES :(

maybe its just a phase but if i dont touch rift for a week or two, i will cancel my 3months sub

If you do decide to quit can I have your stuff?

i tried it over two of the free trial weekends. Both times there was just something missing in the game which I couldn't put my finger on. It's just like WoW mostly, rifts are ok, annoying if no one is around as hard to do on your own. And I think that is the problem for me, rifts are ok, but not amazing, and it feels like that should be the major selling point over WoW.

Or it could be all my friends play WoW and I don't have the sense of belonging in rift :D

starter zones are empty as well. during the beta there was far more people to join up and fight these rifts. at times i feel alone on my own in silverwood and the 2nd area after that.

seems like everyone is level 50+

the level 20-29 chat channel is dead 9/10 times i play.

Which server are you on? I never fail to find people in Freemarch on Shivermere. When I first entered the 2nd area, Stonefield it was quite quiet, but I am finding there are more and more people there every evening now, just last night there were 8 different groups advertising for DM groups in Stonefield, so I think maybe a large bulk of people have just reached Stonefield at around the same time I am there.

Im in the OCUK server and another one which is pve. the pve server im in suppose to be a high popular count yet every evening i go on there is hardly anyone around and as said before, 20-29 chat channel is pretty dead.

i will try tonight and see whos around

Ah, not sure about the PvE one you're on, but I've not had any troubles finding people on the OCUK server yet. I dont see much chatter in the chat channels, though I see plenty of people running around but I've become accustomed to that in MMOs in recent years..the increase in MMO guilds and voice chat servers has seen a reduction in the amount of "public" chat going on compared to days of old with more people chatting internally, not had any troubles getting groups for stuff when I've wanted them though (although I am playing predominantly as 2 characters, one of which is an out and out healer and the other is an out and out sword and board tank)

It's random but they should always have 2 or more walls across from each other.
