Daily Mail with a pretty big article saying we're after Sneijder, also mentioning plans to raid Porto for Rolando and Hulk, been linked with both of those for quite a while now.

:D So thats spurs in the top 4 next season!
They can take Arsenal's place in the top 4.

I want us to get Hulk, can see him being an immediate fit into the prem.

Sneijder is one of my favourite current players, has been for a few years now. Great signing for Utd if that goes through, will be jealous of them if they sign him, however Kenny could cheer me up by signing the 3 players that I've said we should sign now for the last 2 years (Kjaer, Honda and Defour) (and yes, I realise I go on about them every time transfers are mentioned :D )

Him in a midfield 3 with 2 of our current players would be full of win
Carrick and Gibson? :D

Sneijder is a steal for 25m and which ever team gets him will improve massively. I reckon we have a slightly bigger chance of getting him because they want Tevez apparently so a deal can be done that way + we can offer bigger wages and hopefully Champions League.

I get the impression Sneijder isn't going to be swayed by wages, at least I hope he isn't. That's really the only thing City have over Utd at the moment.

Not all players are mercenaries ;)

True and he might not but we have Tevez. And Inter want him but if they just want to pay for Tevez and sell Sneijder then yeh probably will go to utd.

Reading through Bluemoon someone started a thread about Ricardo Montolivo who plays for Fiorentina. Seems like a good alternative to Sneijder.
Not seen him play but this video makes him look good....

Mancini is a fan as well if one of the interviews he did is anything to go by.

To the Arsenal fans, any likelihood of the rumours with Ramsey atm?

Rumours Fulham and Arsenal are in talks about a season long loan next season, but Fulham are trying to get a permanent fee added on, not sure how much that'd be. He'd be good to have, especially with Murphy being about 64.

I'd be amazed if it was true tbh, not just the permanent deal part but the loan part as well, they wont have Fabregas next season so will need Ramsey.

If for some reason he is available though I'd love United to be in for him, although it would beg as to why they're selling him....

Didn't Kjaer only move last summer?

I think we'd be competing for Defour as well (considering Fergie sent him a card when he got injured!)

He did, but Wolfsburg would be willing to sell for the right amount of money. Hopefully we can acquire Defour as I really rate him as a CM. Then just acquire Honda too and thats the 3 I've wanted for a couple of years sorted :)

I read the article and whilst I was gladly give W Sneijder a Piggy Back from the San Siro to Old Trafford with Carrick going the other way, there is no quotes at all from the player or club in it. Typical Daily Fail

Could see Rodwell leave this summer, but for a lot of money as it seems.

Hopefully with the money generated from players sales Everton can push on and buy a decent fit striker and move on for that Europa League place.

If Arsenal manage to keep Fabregas again next season, I'd imagine you would get him on a season long loan but I don't think you've got a chance of buying him in anyway. I think he's still very much in Arsenals plans (and rightly so!).

Talk of a major overhaul of Liverpool's squad continues. The Telegraph are reporting that we could be in the market for as many as 11 players this summer, with 11 going the other way too:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...-to-refresh-the-playing-staff-at-Anfield.html

While I can certainly see 11 players (if you included ones out on loan) leaving, I can't see us bringing in quite as much. The emergence of Robinson, Flanagan, Shelvey and to a lesser extent Spearing, hopefully means we won't need to spend as much filling out our squad and therefore we'll hopefully be able to spend more on players to go straight into the first team.

That appears to be the whole transfer strategy under Dalglish/Comolli/FSG; rather than buy 'squad players', promote youngsters where possible and use the money saved to bring in fewer higher quality senior players. One thing I think we've been guilty of in the past is spending too much on players who were not good enough simply to fill out the squad; although to be fair, the standard of player coming through the academy hasn't helped matters.

It's certainly going to be an interesting summer for Liverpool and hopefully the first in a very long time where we're unified in working towards a clear strategy.

ITK says Moyes is meeting with Klose's agent tomorrow. I would go ****ing mental if we signed him. :D
