What we want isnt necessarily a bad guy, but we want someone with an opinion who doesn't just lose that opinion when it comes to women. I want someone who's going to go "So I thought we could do this...." rather than "I'll do whatever you want" aaaarrgggghhh!!!

Its along the lines of I want someone to pick me up, throw me over their shoulder and drag me back to their cave (in the hypothetical sense )

I just seem to attract that kind of bloke then, I dont know what it is.

To be honest though i've not attracted any type of bloke for so long i've forgotten how to! I dont know why, im not miserable, im ok looking, I just don't seem to get that type of attention from men.

That's not a good/bad thing though. I'm somewhat of the assertive persuasion myself, its just finding someone who's complementary to your own personality type.

I'm assertive in a relationship but not being single. I'm good at planning nice getaways, things to do, places to see etc, but I'm not assertive in attracting women, I don't go and talk to random ladies, just don't have the guts! I'm better at being a boyfriend than I am being single I think..

I've taken the route of a few others and closed my pof account, if anything it (along with this thread) has served as a huge eye-opener on the entire dating scene and not in a good way. I was begining to get a tad depressed with my 4 page views and empty inbox.

Why do i go and fall for one of the busiest girls in all of london, cant tell if im getting the brush off or she's genuinely busy, and being a public forum, not going to post too much detail!

Well the girl i met on Friday is being a bit cagey so doubt i will be seeing her again.

I went to the zoo with a girl on Saturday and we got on really well, had a laugh and a good chat and sent 12 hours together until 1am!! But she is a little larger than I would normally find attractive and there wasnt really any pull from that side.

Sorry to say it robz, but speaking from experience if a girl likes a guy then she will make an effort to see him, and will plan around her busy schedule for this and let him know when she is free. I'm not saying she 100% doesn't fancy you, but I would be wary of those signs if I were you. If she carries on like that for a couple of weeks then start being very cautious, especially seeing as you seem to really like her. Don't become a patsy.

What makes me laugh is every time we've been out, which is 3-4 times, but now about 2 1/2 weeks ago since the last, i've had "i had such a great time, we should do it again soon" with a massive smile...

I know she is genuinely busy with work, and fair enough, she's seeing workmates this week, sounds like it was planned a while back and i just fell into the trap of suggesting something on the same day.

I'll call her tonight and suggest next weekend, which is pretty much 2 weeks away from today, and see what she says, if i get a no to that, i'll ask her when she IS free, and if she's cagey i'll take the hint.

I'd really rather ask her in person, but by the time either of us finishes work, there's barely time for a phonecall

Im back on POF after a rather pathetic 2 month relationship, couldnt trust her in the end because of her extremely colourful history so ended it.
