Cant see RM wanting to loose Ronaldo (even for such an insane amount of money), and Im not sure Ronaldo would ever want to come back to England at all - but it fills the back pages I guess :D

BOth embarrasing and good news, Denilson announces he's spoken to Wenger and he's leaving Arsenal, bad news, he's leaving because he thinks Arsenal aren't winning enough. In a couple of his interviews he basically goes on about how, Arsenal, him, manager, the team have no idea why they aren't winning, great news.

Its a joke, but he also seems to share the general opinion of the club that the season fell apart after losing the Carling cup final. Its retarded, if we matched our first half of the season form, we were heading to 72points, a total that most seasons would get us 4th, a few seasons 3rd and one very strange 2nd(but miles off first).

We were never in it, at any stage, but Wenger seemed convinced of it and convinced the players of it, setting them up for an inevitable fall.

Hughes, while sitting 17th wouldn't be telling his players they can still win the title, then when its officially over seeing his players fall to pieces.

Arsenal weren't good enough at any stage, instead of improving, they thought they were doing great, then they lose a big game and the players have no clue why, its laughable.

This confirms what I said in a few posts ago. Spurs need to play all their Saturday bench warmers midweek. We can't afford not to otherwise they will become disgruntled at the lack of playing opportunities. It's also a great opportunity for players like Seb to prove to Harry that they are good enough. It's like Seb says himself, he played all last season and we got to the CL.

League 38 games, Europa, group stage to final 15 games, if you play a mostly unfit reserves team whose not match fit and rarely play, they won't get to the final and most players will miss the odd game. So Defoe/Seb will be happy if they play 10 Europa games instead of 30-35 league games, while also playing a distinctly reserve side with a manager who has said he doesn't care if they are still in it or not?

Somehow I don't think thats going to solve the problem, even slightly.

Surely if Ronaldo and Morinho didn't get on....they'd get rid of Mourinho

70mil profit isn't exactly to be sneezed at though, and debt wise, fairplay rules they aren't exactly in a fantastic position.

They also need a playmaking central midfielder, a Lampard/Fabregas type as they don't have anyone even close to good enough for the middle, they need left and right backs, another CB and they want another striker, though thats largely because they seem to be wanting to dump Benzema. He's not got a bad scoring record, but they really want a Drogba type, goals + bringing others into the game, someone to bully opposition CB's. Benzema doesn't suit their 1 upfront formation at all.

150mil in this season would offset anyone they bring in and probably show a healthy profit, as profit/loss for fairplay is essentially averaged out over 3 seasons starting from next year and considering his current value if they did sell now would be the time.

They would, it's such a non story it's untrue. Absolutely no chance Madrid would choose Mourinho over Ronaldo

They've got no need of money so even any profit they may gain by selling him wouldn't be of that much interest to them

Oh and Tevez confirmed that he's leaving City :o

Denilson is no great loss, in fact that's 1 bit of deadwood gone. I suspect he'll have trouble getting himself signed by a 'winning' team though, such are his apparently lofty expectations.

Papers today suggesting a fee of around €16m has been agreed for De Gea and he has announced he will be leaving Atletico this summer...

So Spurs had a taste of the Champions League and now they're too good for the Europa League all of a sudden? :p

It's a chance for another trophy at least.

Nobody wants to leave Spurs because they are not in the champions league, and all the players AND the manager will be 100% commited to every competition they play in next season and wont just focus on trying to get 4th spot and short change all their fans with 3rd choice sides and first team ticket prices in any of the games.

At all.

It beats me how anyone could suggest otherwise.

I've just read his qoutes on sporting life, he is 23, he has been there 5 years and won nothing, and he says "I am a winner".

Sorry?

When have you been a winner son? when have you put in a world class performance and dragged the arse across the line with a man of the match turn?

Oh thats right, never.

He won the Emirates cup!!!

I heard something about Obertan may be being included as part of the deal to take Varane to United.

I can't imagine Obertan would want to go to a Division 2 French team though :/

We can only hope, pray and sacrifice virgins to what ever gods are watching that someone, somewhere, is stupid enough to take Obertan off our hands.

Wait wait wait - Denilson's leaving?!?

*bursts into tears*

Such joy...

*wipes*

So happy...
