****Official Fallout New Vegas Thread****

I have access to Micks of Mick and Ralphs in Freeside his 'secret stash' but he offers exactly the same as his normal inventory and it never changes, is that normal?

When I got access to his special inventory he opened up a secret room did you get that as well? Just took this from Fallout Wiki:

Mick's special items are weapons, mostly laser based guns. He also sells the naughty nightwear, which gives +10 Speech and +1 Luck in his special goods.

Did anybody else notice, that the further you get into the game the more it freezes and crashes?, I dunno if it's the game or the PS3 3.61 update that's causing it

The game has done this on the 360 version aswell not sure if as much though .

That sucks. :(
It's annoying, I think Blake at the Crimson Caravan has the same as he alsways has the same stuff for sale and never updates.

It is annoying as I am currently suffering from completionism (is that a word) and want to have one of each weapon and I am still missing a few.

Completionism. :D

Yeah I can imagine it's annoying, maybe if you're looking for a particular weapon you could look on the Wiki and see if it's available in other locations. There's still quite a few achievements for me to do on New Vegas I just haven't got the motivation to play it at the moment. :(

Any idea when GoTY version will be out? Want a lvl 50 character but cannot afford to blow 800msp x 4 on the dlc without any comeback (trade at a later date)

EDIT: Just had a look on Fallout Wiki and if we go by the Fallout 3 dates then Mothership Zeta was released in August and the GOTY edition followed in October so as Lonesome Road has just been released we should see a GOTY edition of New Vegas in a couple of months maybe.

Nice one, that's for that Columbo :)

Can't wait, bought the dlc last time but it was all half price which isn't so bad.

:)

I might be interested in the GOTY too, the only thing that puts me off New Vegas is not being able to play after the main quest, but I guess it's not really a big problem in the grand scheme of things.

Yeah, just repurchased it myself and doing a new game, got the character to Vegas, and now it's up to me to chose which path to take. But at that point I'm off questing elsewhere and nearly at max lvl without dlc.

4th play through, still has charm but I just wish they'd add little things in the main game that are not there, just some daft content so stumbling across it would bring a big smile.

Always wondered what fallout crocodiles would look like, since they've survived from the dino era, sure they'd survive nuclear fallout.

Since posting I've been sitting thinking about animals and fallout, lol.

Horses, why no horses? Spiders should ave been in, guess they were worried about just making everything giant, they have to ave an angle. Love where cazadors come from, scary enough what they were, no wonder they are tough.

Don't mean to drag off topic but how is New Vegas compared to Fallout 3? Absolutely loved Fallout 3, just need to play the GOTY Edition as i've heard the DLC's are amazing. I've not heard good things about New Vegas. :(

FNV is a great game which was released with loads of bugs and flaws, most of which have fixed now, but a lot of people, big fallout fans were pretty miffed to say the least about the state in which the game was released.

For me, the game was just too great for me to be massively bothered by it, completed it twice in two weeks and traded it in knowing a more refined game was some way off, and a lot cheaper.

They're both great, I guess it's totally down to personal preference as they both play virtually the same too. I prefer the Capital Wasteland but I can see why people might prefer the Mojave instead, both are two of my favourite games of the current gen. :)

I hate Cazadors, so freaking annoying! You're right though they are pretty scary. :p

Ive finally got round to playing this and hit a bug fairly early on I think. Investigating boones wife's killer and I searched the floor safe before I began. Can't ask anyone to step out in front of the statue now.

I'm assuming you've picked up the bill of sale? Go into your Pip-Boy and read it, then press the back/select button and wait for 72 hours, go and talk to Jeannie-May and it should progress as normal.

Thanks! It's a bit poor it's been left in though. Also had a few lock ups and quests not flowing naturally due to me approaching them different ways than the game intended. I think I prefer Fallout 3 a lot more to be honest... But it's still enjoyable which is the main thing.
