Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Honeycomb Tablet

Not too fussed about overall size, I'll probably only be using it in bed or when watching TV. Saves me having to sit at PC to browse the web without the hassle of browsing on the SGSII screen,

This release date business is becoming a bit of nonsense and I can't blame you for not waiting. At least we can now share our Honeycomb experiences. Good luck with it. :)

The chargers for the Tab and the Tab 10.1 share the same travel adapter and I have been using the original one for charging with the original cable. The 10.1 indicates that it is charging using USB when it is switched off.

Got tired of waiting for release date and pricing and bought a Xoom instead. Was only going to keep it 6 months and get a Tegra 3 anyway. Hope I don't end up regretting it :p

I had much the same thought - although I don't see there being a Tegra 3 version of the Transformer coming out in a hurry so I got that instead. Wonderful piece of kit. I'm utterly sold. Now all we need is more apps!!!

Posting from the Xoom now, wow pretty impressed and only been using it 5 mins. Any must have Honeycomb apps?

silly question, but does anyone know if its possible to have just one screen on honeycomb, like remove the others, so there is one screen with no sliding between them, so its one static page??

Anything is possible but it is an integral part of the Android OS design. I can’t see why you would want to do it. You could always ask over at XDA and no doubt someone may try and do it.

We got one of these now at work, slim sleek and good looking but I am still unimpressed with Honeycomb. The OS feels exactly the same as using the Xoom (got them side by side) we got a Lenovo tablet knocking around I not put next to them yet.

Also the scrolling of home screen left to right has micro jerks which bug the hell out of me.

These first round of tablets feel like when the HTC Hero was released, just about good enough as long as you don't mind the little bits of slowing down.

Have you got hold of the Google I/O version or the 10.1V?

You won't see a much difference because they are both running 3.0.1 although both Motorola and Samsung will have made a few additions. I’ve not noticed any stutter on mine or any real slowing down. Honeycomb is so much better than have 2.2/2.3 on a tablet such as the original Tab. This release is buggy and 3.1 is on its way with bug fixes and enhancements so things can only get better.

Do Samsung offer international warranty with these? My girlfriend is in America at the moment and is due to return in the first week of July, so if it comes out there first then I might ask her to pick me up one :)

I would have thought it will have an American warranty which will not cover it for use outside of the US. The original Tab has an EU warranty.

If we get a UK release date for this tonight I'm going to return my Xoom (advertising SD slot on website which ofcourse doesnt work as of yet) and get this instead I think.
