Barca are rich, they are owed hundreds of millions, the loan they took out was because the hundreds of millions haven't been paid, when that cheque comes through expect them to be laughing. To "pay off" the loan they got shirt sponsorship for the first time, at basically the entire value of the loan.

Secondly, they do need Cesc, Iniesta simply isn't as good as Cesc and Xavi while brilliant is 31 and playing, because of generally long runs in Cl and for Spain , 55-70 games a season at the moment. Its fairly likely he'll be slowing down pretty soon with the manager giving him more games off.

Barca don't really have anyone waiting in the wings to take over from Xavi.

I tend to agree with all of that but it doesnt negate the point i made. If you are the only buyer then you will dictate the price.

Barca can continue without Cesc and be successful or they can sign someone else.

Cesc has made it clear he only wants to go to Barca.

lol, Anderson at his best is a corner flag threat, or that guy on the upper tier, Anderson isn't remotely a constant goal threat, even in his best games he rarely scores.

2 goals in the league since he joined Utd, over 4 seasons, and around 45 games or so, massive goal threat. Adam, one season 12 goals.
.

Well I meant his passing was as good, not his "goal threat". Although there's no real reason why he couldn't start to score more, he has the ability.

10 more players with the name Eboue of course;):p:D...a squad full of Eboue's is what would please DM no matter what lol.

I applaud your answer :D

Even DM has to have a little laugh at that lol

There could be some confusion though... with the amount of diving going on with that amount of Eboues then people might think the olympics has started a year early :D

You got your answer;)...no need for DM to answer:p

Who would you sign for Arsenal DM?

And out of interest, who do you think would fit in at Man Utd?

Its not about who we would sign, its about a manager we would get rid of.

IF Wenger is insistant on sticking with 4-5-1, would you sign, Falcao, Berbatov and Drogba, no, its a waste.

Wengers done, he's the cause of our lack of winning mentality, why, because he honestly thinks he's still playing all out attack, playing Song, Denilson, Diaby in midfield all passing sideways and he thinks we're playing the same football as a decade ago.

Signing players, for positions we have filled will do us nothing, we've had more transfer activity selling bench warmers for new bench warmers. If they rarely get on the pitch how are they going to bring massive change to the team, answer, they won't. Chamakh's already been a huge waste, destined to sit on the bench for 4 more seasons, then leave having cost us 22-23million.

Wenger to get some therapy and fix his problems, or to go, patching a non working system in a non working team with a non working manager is just as pointless as the changes he's been making for 5 years.

DM in another pointless rant not actually answering the question he is asked. Can't say I'm surprised.

The question was who would I buy, the answer was, no one, with Wenger in charge, every penny spent will be a waste, so yes I did answer it.

WE can't win the title with Wenger, no matter who we buy, Squillaci and Kos had better reputations before they joined Arsenal. Buying more players to not play or play in a faulty system won't improve anything.

Sure, sign Messi and we'll improve, but asides from pie in the sky rubbish whats the point.

I also don't play Championship manager so I can't name every hot prospect other people can on a nice long list for who we should get.

Heres a clue, Wenger sits around all day with people who can put footage together on any player he wants, he also has a team of scouts who go and find players he, and I and you haven't heard of.

Who would I buy, a DM, a quality CB, a quality RB, n'zogbia and Young.

Pie in the sky I'd bring Diarra back as DM, Arsenal can't afford him, whose the next hot shot DM, give me 4 mil to watch footage from a team of scouts I can send off and I'll tell you. N'zogbia's a very good target, solid, consistant in this league, can play all over the pitch, better than any winger we have. Young, you never know, he's a gooner, we should have got him 2-3 season ago when he was both cheap and we had a better shot of landing him.

Its also not about who I'd buy now, we tracked Kompany for the best part of 5 years, in a league we have pretty much stronger ties than any other premiership team, yet for 5mil we opted not to go in for him, I'd have bought him in a heartbeat, I'd not have bought Hleb nor let Pires go, Gilberto would still be involved at Arsenal, Song, Denilson, Diaby wouldn't have sucked 20mil in wages between them in the past 3 seasons out of the club, Diarra would never have left.

The answer isn't always who would you buy then, the club has been going the wrong way for years, you can't fix that in one transfer window and certainly not with a manager whose scared to win.

4-5-1, at home, to the worst teams in the league and failing to create enough chances and playing poor football. We've a squad built for 4-4-2, buying players won't improve the team nearly as much as a change in tactics, formation and change in starting line up from players we already own.

Just had a little thought. Yesterday (Saturday) pep guardiola said he's only likely to be manager of barca for one more season before he moves on to find a new challenge.

With everyone saying that 'Arry is likely to take over after Capello as England manager, could this be a great opportunity for spurs to start trying to sweeten pep up? Promises of getting to work with bale and modders?

Ahhh a yid can dream can't he? I'd be happy with that managerial change for sure.

Can see United spending big this summer to replace a few players.

De Gea from Athletico Madrid seems to be very close to being completed.

Feel we need a CM (Bastian Schweinsteiger kind of player) as a replacement for Scholes to give us a bit more creativity (yet solid) in the center of the park and a winger (Bale or Young).

With Owen more than likely leaving, would like too Utd hold onto Berbatov and perhaps bring Welbeck into the squad as his forth striker and give the lad a chance.
