Apparently Man U have been told to raise their bid for Modric. Not sure how much that bid was though. God damn smelly mancs always poaching our players.

I'd love that to be true, Modric IMO is the ideal midfielder to fit the way we play but I just cant see it happening

I'd imagine Sniejder is much more likely but not sure how he, Rooney and Chicharito could all fit in the same side

Got a source for that story? Sad day if Spurs lost Modric... Would only instantiate their lack of real ambition.

Liverpool have made an £18.5m bid for Henderson aswell apparently.

And Joe Cole set for spurs for £3m.

Sir Alex Ferguson is hoping to capture Erick Toress, who replaced Hernandez at Chivas last year.

And interest from City and Chelsea for Kaka.

Got to say, whilst I'd be happy to have Henderson, I most certainly wouldnt be happy about it being 18.5m. Thats too much imo, for that price there are other options I would have preferred us to go for.

Heard all links with him are rubbish myself. Apparently all started by a WUM.

I'd love to know which of Redknapp or Levy brought in VDV and Sandro. By all accounts, it was supposedly Levy who did all the work for the former.

This is the same liverpool who payed £35m for Carrol. Don't rule anything out lol

Wasn't the Carrol price based on whatever Newcastle wanted, as the Torres price was £15m + Carrol fee - so Liverpool weren't bothered about how much Newcastle wanted, as Chelsea effectivly had to buy him for Liverpool.

"The fee for Torres was dependent on what Newcastle asked for Carroll," Henry said, explaining that Liverpool wanted Carroll, plus £15m, to replace Torres.

Yes I agree with that, however I was just saying that Liverpool will pay way over the odds for players.

£35m was still waaaay over what I would pay for him, even though they made £15m off Torres.

Different situations, Carroll was done in a whirlwind with hours to spare of a transfer window in a must have replacement situation, with the seller knowing full well we had just been given a cheque for £50m for Torres. I can accept an inflated price in that situation.

In a normal transfer window and without a must buy imminently situation, I'd be not so accepting at 18.5 for Henderson. £13m I found acceptable, £15 borderline at a push, but more than that I think there are better options available given the time we have to buy.

I heard from very good insider from Arsenal forum, Eden Hazard is very close to completing move to Arsenal.

We have been linked with him for like a year.

I think Wenger is hoping Miyiachi is going to be good to go next season. He was very impressive.

Get rid of Nasri, the stupid ****.

Keep Fabregas, move Arshavin centrally. Hazard or RvP on Left, Walcott on right even though he is rubbish.

New striker, Chamakh as backup. Song Wilshere. Job done!

I wouldn't put RVP on the left, he is much better in the middle, Arshavin should be behind the strikers but in front of the midfield and I'm more in favour of playing something like a 4-3-1-2, Walcott is dire on the right and much better in the middle too, we don't have any real quality wingers and I don't think spunking a chunk of the budget on one winger is going to help things. All imo.

i find it hard to believe that spurs would say ''raise your bid'' to man utd (no team would do this) the bid would simply be refused and it would be up to man utd to up their bid on their will. spurs will have a figure in mind but it would be stupid to give the impression to man utd that we are willing to sell as what kind of message would that send to modric? we want modric to be starting for us in august and wanting to play for us, not thinking ''this club are willing to sell me''.

Why is it hard to believe that a 'Spurs said raise your bid?

United offer ~10 million, Spurs tell them to up their bid to ~20 million ?

United offer ~10 million, Spurs tell them he's not for sale, United might make another improved offer but Spurs said he's not for sale.
