I was getting used to the idea of Fab leaving this summer but I wouldn't like Fab and Nasri to leave. Nasri can step into Fabs boots. Not as good but still a good replacement from our ranks. I think he plays so much better in that position too. Nasri's best performances were when Fab was out injured.
I just hope we don't see all the good players leave and we are stuck with the ones that let us down week in week out.
Not a promising start to the summer.![]()
DO you remember the end of the season with Fab injured, and the previous time Fab was injured, when Nasri played in that role and was absolutely shockingly useless.
Nasri played FAR more games in the middle in the second half of the season than the first half. Look through the games, Nasri scored 2 goals in one game early season before Cesc was back from injury, that was in a game we lost, largely because Nasri couldn't pass to anyone else on the team and the team were rubbish, at home, to West Brom.
I would hardly call that proof he's better in the middle. Most of his goals and best performances came when he started wide, but he didn't really play wide, but more as a second striker, the majority of his goals being when someone fed him the ball either behind the defence or as he was running in behind the defence. Yay, he scored more goals than normal, playing as a second striker, that shouldn't be surprising.
Nasri can not in any way step in for Fabregas.
