Looks like the total value of the deal is closer to £16m rather than £20m - possible that there could be add-ons that take the deal up to the £20m mark though.
It's also possible that the N'gog deal could be independent to the Henderson deal so we could be paying £16-20m for Henderson and they'll sign N'gog for ~£7m in a seperate deal.
Not really what we need though is he, Fergie seems to be addressing areas of the pitch that dont need addressing
With you already having a settled first choice CB pairing of Ferdinand (when fit) and Vidic (when not suspended

That's why I thought Liverpool was a much more likely destination tbh. I figured we'd have other priorities, however it would have been a shame for Liverpool to get someone who's got the quality to be first choice england CB in a couple of years.

That doesn't mean he's not also looking at CM. I wanted Varane when he was mooted as Ferdinand and Vidic can only go on so long, looks like we're taking a more expensive but English and definitely quality option.

Henderson spent 50% of last season passing to the righ back every time he got the ball in the middle of the park. Much better RW than CM IMO
