For club and country

I have to say, I recently havent been overly excited about Englands national chances, but when I look at the youngsters we have coming through, I really do get hopeful that in a few years we could have an outstanding England team.

Smalling, Jones, Flanagan, Kelly, Shelvey, Ramsey, Wilshere, Spearing, Carroll, Wickham, Gibbs, Albrighton, Cork, Henderson, Sterling, Rodwell, Sturridge, Wellbeck.

Some really promising young players there and theres others I've not mentioned. Do I dare to dream of our hopes in a few years time?

None of those are as good as what Spain or Germany will have to offer though, so I wouldn't get your hopes up just yet.

We dont necessarily have to be the best in order to progress in a cup competition, just good enough, as has been highlighted but some of the recent teams who have reached the semi finals of the world cup etc. I'd actually go one step further and say that quite often the world cup winners havent been the best team in the tournament, they've often been just good enough.

Ramsey is welsh. :( Mceachran is good though. :)

If those three go, that means we'll free up more wages and hopefully get far superior players to replace them.

I dont see that, I see more opportunities for youth players to come through.

Which is even better.

Say we run short in midfield, it leaves us with a choice, Paul Pogba, or Darren does nothing what so ever Gibson, who at the very least is a known quantity on a match day IE we know his legs work, he sometimes manages to pass to players on the same team and he quite often runs in the right direction.

You can't rely entirely on youth players though, as long as we get some proper top players in (like Sneijder), all will be well.
