** Summer Transfer Window 2011/12 Season Rumours/Signings **

It'd've been ridiculous for Scholes to be on £100k/week at the end... he just wouldn't've been.

why not - with the amount of games he has played majority of seasons, how important he was for the squad (remember its not just what the fans see on the field, its what he does for the kids etc etc)

Seeing as Rio and Rooney have been earning way more than that for several seasons already - and Scholes has 6 + seasons at the club more than either of them (at senior level)

edit - Im very surprsed abotu OShea being included in any deal as I thought SAF really liked his versatility (even if his quality isnt that good). Useful cover for at least three positions (Full back right and left and "midfield").

You think O'Shea and Brown are only worth 2m each?

I'm also kind of nervous about binning all of our backup players without any depth to replace them with - particularly O'Shea.

Also - United in 16m for English player shocker, why am I not surprised...

Only a couple of days into the transfer window and it's complete torture. I'm trying to decide whether its worse knowing you have money and you are worried it'll all be wasted on average players or second choice targets - or - if it's worse just knowing you'll get nobody and can go and relax for the summer.

Brown I can understand, he's in his thirties, not good enough to play CB for us and has been over taken in the RB slot

Gibson I can understand as if as expected we sign a midfielder in this window it will only further limit his chances.... that and he's not good enough

O'Shea though, in a deal worth 12m no ******* chance!! Very good squad player to have around

Just laughs - I hadnt realised Gibson was 24!!!!

My god I had forgotten he had been so ***** for sooooooo long lol

Its Brown, Gibson and Evans - not O'shea

Severall sites Ive seen are definitely saying OShea , with Evans not even getting a whisper......

(would prefer to get rid of Evans, but it would be strange for MU specific sites to be so wrong)

Just to clarify, you mean very good because he can play lots of positions...not because he's very good right? :p

Yes because he can play in a lot of positions, he's not that bad a player though :o

Put it this way if N'Gog is worth 4-7m (depending on how you want to equate the Henderson deal) then 12m for those 3 is day light robbery

He's not. Gibson is 23.

As i said, third player is Evans .. 12m for those 3 (Evans included, not O'shea) seems reasonable.

-edit-
Sunderland sources are saying Evans ..United forums are saying O'shea? :p odd

I'd imagine they're all just quoting Sky tbh, 12m for any combination of 3 should be a no deal IMO (well unless we're talking Brown, Obertan & Bebe)

In the current market all 4 (Gibson, Brown, O'Shea & Evans) are surely all worth at least 6m each

Gutted if Jones goes anywhere, but seems like it's going to happen now.

Damn chicken farmers - not a selling club my ****!!! Was hoping to get a decent manager and start building a team around Jones, Hoillet, Olsson, Rochina, Kalinec and others.

I know 16-17m is a reasonable amount, but last year he showed just how good he will be, and it's a snip if someone like Henderson is going for 20m.

The way things are going we are going to have no players next season.

Nile Ranger has been told to find a new club.
Alan Smith has been shown the door.
Kevin Nolan is having contract problems.
Joey Barton is having contract problems.
Jose Enrique looks set to leave for Europe.
If he goes then it's likely that Colocinni and Jonas will follow.

Yet somehow we still have Ameobi on the books.
